I've heard GOOD things about Jorge. And I didn't even know Ron existed.

I'm promoting Mike from Innovative Tuning because when he heard my car needed a tuner, he suggested a group tuning weekend, and he was recommended by the folks that built my motor, plus his advice has helped with my build a lot. I'm not saying he's the best out there, and I certainly don't want to come across as implying that people should change their preference of tuner to Mike. Everyone likes their choice of tuner for different reasons, and that's totally okay. Odds are I'm probably going to end up getting tuned by Shane at DB anyway. I just thought I'd offer the opportunity and see if anyone was interested.

ok. yeah Rons been around for a while but newer the subaru crowd within the last few years i do believe. He does have a mustang dyno if that matters to you more. check him out. http://www.rsmotorsinc.com/

Ron is awesome. Super helpful, very good tuning, and very reasonable with his rates.

The problem here is your probably the only one w/ an "elaborate" setup that is even going to need this sort of service. Idk if your familiar w/ Fargo or not but your more then likely not going to find the crowd you seem to be seeking for this service as most setups anyone does around here are simple/basic and they try cut every corner possible to save a buck.

Just out of curiousity whats involved in your build and expected power levels to be obtained?

Ahhh, Nick. Always hatin on the locals.

So this guy will do 3rd/4th/5th gear pulls down the interstate? or where does he street tune?

Should be interesting to see 5 dudes cars ripping down the interstate all day. Let us know where this will be going on so we/local HP can come and watch.

Before you start doing interstate tunes with a bunch of people here, remember that the HP headquarters is literally right on I29 lol

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

You don't want to participate in a valid, insightful conversation about tuning. You want to fight and put other people down. That's why I didn't answer you...this thread isn't supposed to be about that. The point is, if it's not for you? Cool. No problem. Don't be 14 about it, though. Your way isn't the only way OR the best way, just like mine isn't.

Mike McGinnis's tickets, not mine. But seriously...I don't know how he'll do his road tuning. I don't even know how Doug did his, since we all hung out in the shop while he was out on his drives. Is it illegal? I'm willing to bet so. But I do know that it works, and that there's GOOD tuners that really know their stuff that can do it, for lack of equipment in the wonderful state of North Dakota. Again, I'm not saying this is the only way to tune, or the best way. I just thought it might be a nice opportunity for people and that there might be some interest.

Also, why do NORMAL smileys not exist on this forum?

id be interested if he did rotaries and did a dyno tune. If this guy is who you say he is, It is well worth the money. I had my car tuned by Steve kan from Gotham racing. One of the best rotary tuners in the world. I paid $400 to have my car tuned, I would pay twice that for him to do it again.

For those of you knocking this post, Dont get your car tuned by this guy, end of story.

Badlandsracer, Your entitled to your own opinion, but put down a reputable tuner is without solid evidence and expect not to get torn a new one on this forum.

IMO it is hardly worth the money for the guy when for less money you could have the car strapped to an actual dyno, and have a competent tuner have at it..........

So what does this guy bring to the table??????? Is he bringing his own WB O2 to log and make corrections?? or are you supposed to provide your own? What system is he bringing to log your engine RPM vs AFR?? or does he just expect everyone to have a system capable to do this??

or everyone just get HPT Pro ..... because it perty much tunes itself with a WB hooked up to the system....

I don't believe I was inferring ANY fact at all on my own part, rather establishing that YellowEvo's statement that road tuning is a waste of money is HIS own opinion. So I'm still not sure what "facts based on the opinions of others" you think I'm claiming.

Still don't know what "this" refers to.

But yeah. Good job whipping out that e-peen right away, anyway. Especially when you don't actually understand what's being said. :icon_thumright:

Well, we got a few people with some valid, serious interest, but not enough. So, Mike won't be coming, and I'll be heading to RS Motors to get tuned.
