how much are u-haul trailers and can you walk in and get one on the spot?

U-Haul will not rent a car trailer to you unless you have a 1/2 truck or larger. Unless they changed the rules. They would not let me use one with my old Jeep either.

You should get a tow-dolly. A full on car trailer is probably more then the towing capacity of the S10.

We have towed a couple cars on tow dollys with my dads old S10. It put alot of stress on the truck.

I have pulled cars many times with my S-10. It is definitely possible. If you get a full size trailer, it gets a little heavy. I would stick to a dolly, unless the car is really small/light.

The car i need pulled is not street legal right now and I see it pointless to spend the money to get it legalized if its only going to be driven for a short distance. How much is it to rent a tow dolley and can i do it on a walk-in?

What about it isn't "street legal"? It's probably fine to drive.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

tags are expired and no insurance.

I suppose I could drive it but the parents dont want me to.

you can get pro-rated one day insurance just to drive it home, and just fill out the back of your current registration card and throw it in the window and you are legal for 30-days as far as that goes.

yea I could look into that, but if I can just get it around to where it needs to be without having to pay anything thatd be even better.

I don't even think you need to do that. I thought if you bought a car, your insurances will automatically cover it for X amount of days.?

The S-10 is either a 4.1L V6 or a 4.3L actually because its close to the same engine as are bravada (4.1). Kris's GTP is either a 3.8 or 3.6 V6 that's what you're thinking of....We would be hauling 1 car to DL and then dropping it off and hauling 1 car back. Shouldn't be to bad, you think?

When and where? If its that big of a deal, just have someone else drive it back.

If you just bought the car, it doesn't have to be registered. Just make sure you have a title signed into your name. It also wouldn't hurt to have the contact info for the person that owns the car that you are buying for those just in case situations.
