Nissan Pulsar GTIR
-
Not mine but a friend of mines in the cities here.
Just thought I would throw a heads up out there for one hell of a rare care. I am not personally selling the car so I do not have access to VIN. I have driven it and like all his cars, it's clean as hell. He would like to keep it but does not have time for this and his other cars/toys. This car is adult owned and driven rarely. The only way you will find one nicer is probably in Japan at a museum.
For those who don't know or understand what this car is:
Nissan built this vehicle to compete with Subaru and Mitsubishi in World Rally Championship in the early 90's. The vehicle has a turbocharged SR20DET engine (aprox 230 hp) Quad throttle body and a Garrett T28 turbo and features Nissan's prized ATTESA all-wheel drive system. (The same all wheel drive system as found in a R32 and R33 (1989-1997) GTS4 Skyline and every GTR from 1989–2003). Weighs only 2,690 lbs (only 200 lbs heavier than a mini copper). Also this car has a few of the rarieties that are usually not there like the front skid plate and umbrella in the door.
This car is rarer than a Skyline or new GTR for that matter. This is one of the few GTIR's stateside that was not hacked down the middle, then re-welded back together once it hit our shores.
If you want more info shoot him a message on Ebay or shoot me a Pm here and I can get you in contact with him.

The SR20DET is a common engine swap in the Sentra world so parts are not that hard to find.
I will follow up with him on his current asking price. I would assume around the mid teens.
As for the rariety of the car, I find it hard to belive that you saw tons of them in while in Okinawa. Yes, they have more of an abundance in Japan but only around 13,000 of these were ever produced and most have been chopped up, raced and/or wrecked. That is also 13,000 spread and shipped across Europe, Asia and improted into Australia so they are spread fairly thin.
-
you need to understand that Okinawa is less than 300 square miles in size. half of which is inhabited. I lived there for 3 years, believe me I know. Not uncommon for me to see 1-2 a week. A buddy of mine who I played roller hockey with had 2 himself. not to flame your thread but at least you got a bump out of it. GLWS it shouldnt take long.

I found quite a few for sale on this site.

It's a UK site of course, but the cars are selling for 950 pounds on the low end and 5999 pounds on the high end($1574-$9939 US)Thought I'd throw this out there to maybe give an idea of what ones going for.

They were released in Europe. They weren't released in the US. Obviously, there's going to be a huge price difference.

After a little more digging I found a couple here in the US , just as nice as this one, that sold right around the $10K range. So, there's a few around at least.

Same one on MNSC, car did not sell. He does not need to sell it but if it goes, it goes. Ebay keeps flagging the car as it falls under as a gray area market car. It's registared and is driven on the street in MN. He has all the paper work to go with it as well.

So how much is he asking for this? Is there a USDM version for easy insurance? Also what year is it?
