Uh...it was a speech wishing the approximately 6 million American's (and a huge number of people around the world) who are Muslims a happy holiday season....and the speech came from Cairo (as I understand it.)

I was just giving him a hard time, I really didn't care that it was butchered.
As for the "Grammar/Spelling Police", while I agree that it gets taken to excess, there is a lot that can be learned about someone based on their ability to use proper spelling and grammar in written text. Maybe it's the old geezer in me, but it bugs the hell out of me to see a whole generation of kids (not calling 63vette a kid...his was an honest typo) who can't spell or communicate without the use of acronyms and internet slang.

By every account I can find it was released on youtube for the world to see (costing us very little taxpayer dollars...well no more than the film crew, you know what I mean). Then some middle eastern countries put it on their tv stations whereas the American stations did not.
I have no problem with anyone not liking him, I just want you dislike him for legitimate reasons.
