In the comments, apparently the guy had a bunch of equipment in his SUV that he was moving and parked that in the garage, leaving the GTR outside.

actually, (I know this because of this being posted on a Z31 forum already...) The dude went to his GF's house, and fell asleep...still does pose the question, "wouldnt anyone notice that?" and it was parked wide open for everyone to see...

of course im sure there are many different stories as to how this happened.
