Fuel Prices

Megan and I just took a trip to Whitefish, MT for a week and a half. The cheapest gas of the whole trip was when we filled up in fargo before we left. The highest was $3.50 for 87 in Medora and the average throughout montana was 3.17 for 85.5 3.25 for 87 and 3.35(ish) for 89/91 octane.

Guys I would kill to pay 2.20 per gallon here. Basic unleaded fuel here is over 3.25...I paid 94 dollars for 25 gallons the other day for my truck...so all you guys who have little four-banger pocket rockets, quit complaining! lol...Take a quick look at when this thread was started. Gas is now in the 2.89-3.20 range here too.

Stamart was 2.51, 2.53 today for regular, let's hope they keep dropping
I assumed it went up since it was a holiday weekend...

So you can't blame Katrina either. You could say that the war in Iraq is causing gas prices to go higher, but it really shouldn't be. Prior to the war we got almost none of our oil from Iraq (just a tiny bit in the oil-for-food program) anyway, now we control the country (supposedly). FWIW, saying Bush/Cheney aren't asshole deep in the oil industry is like saying John Kerry's family boycotts ketchup.
Oil companies in the past year have reported the largest quarterly earnings of any corporation in any industry...yet they try to justify $3/gallon gas to me. Gouging, 100%. Now, granted, the bottled water industry charges ridiculous amounts for 20 oz of spring water, but at least I have the option to rehydrate myself with tap water if I choose to.
