Over Xmas: Xbox, PS3, Wii Repair

I've had a few people request work be done to their systems, I'll be in town 24th-26th.

Let me know ahead of time, so I can bring any replacement parts or whatever and I'll have it back to you before I head back down to the cities.

my 360 takes forever to read a disc(usually 15-30 open/close). how much to fix? and how much to correct issue with red ring? hasn't happened yet but i would like to prevent it.

You need a new disc drive. $60 installed.

The red ring isn't a single problem, it can be 30+ different components, so you should address it after it happens rather then before.

My 360 recently gave me the message "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console". It won't read games or dvd movies. I'm assuming my dvd drive is bad, is this true? Do I need a special drive? Where can I get one and how much do they cost?

Generally between $35-45 for the part, we charge $25 for install.

Each drive has a unique key that has to be transferred to the new drive to work (requires flashing of the controller chip), so its not just a pull the old one, swap a new one in kind of deal.

Ok, thanks for the info. I'm from Fargo so maybe next time I'm planning on going to the cities I can contact you and arrange to have it fixed.
