My trip to Green Bay
-
Here are a few pics of the car on the dyno down in Green Bay, WI. Took it to a place called beyond redline. We had a few issues early on, but the owner/tuner down there is an absolute genius! we got it up to 466/370 rwhp/ftlbs tq before I was getting ignition break up. The motor is running extremely strong as was happier than a kid in a candy store even at 20 psi. I was only getting knock readings of 20. I could have gone a lot higher if i didnt have the ignition break up but overall I am extremely happy. The old guy in the picture is the engine builder, Howard Coleman. He did some suspension work for Mario Andretti and also race with Paul Newman in the GT series. He used to race RX-3's and set alot of track records.

did you wash your car inside and out after returning back from packerland?

most rotary deaths comes from excess heat. If you eliminate excess heat, you"ll have a rotary that will last a while. The best way to get rid of that heat is to throw a shit load of methanol into it. Methonal offers a significant amount of btu's of cooling and high octane. I am running 2 630cc/min nozzles of 100% methanol. The methanol, like water, also acts as a cleaning agent and will reduce the amount of carbon build up in the engine as well.
The guy who build my motor has had a 500hp motor for 4 years and put26000 miles on it before he took it apart this last winter. He took it apart not because it was blown, but because he is retired and has nothing better to do than rebuild motors. He said the internals were as clean as when he installed them 4 years ago.
