Thanks. I will probably get rid of the Nissan in the next few months though. I ordered a 997.2 GT3 as its replacement. So what did you do to get yourself into a position that you are able to afford all these toys? I love the look of the 6 with the wheels but that gap looks tacky and less than clean... Can't you spring for some good coilovers and just lower it an inch or two in the summer and then put it back at stock for the winter?

There's also an element of stupity in spending this much on cars. The GT3 purchase will hopefully make more sense financially since they hold value better than any of my other cars.
And I'll leave modifying vehicles to others. BMW engineers their cars and SUVs pretty well. -

My Bimmer with new wheels for the warm weather.Very nice Chip! Lovin the 215's. Did you give your arm and your leg to get your hands on the OEM's or are they reps?
Finally pulled the trigger on a GT3, nice!!! This has been planned for you for some time, no? I thought I read on Bimmerpost a while back that you canceled your order on one about a year ago...
Enjoying the X6? Gorgeously unique IMO. I have heard nothing but good about the car. Any problems yet?
+1 about the truck being an SAV.. dont lower it. The way it sits, it still beats a 911 around a track/straight lines, whats the need?

Have to agree with Clarkson, I just don't see the point.

Thanks. I love the X6M. I get mixed reactions to it though. Some people think it's ugly. I wish it pushed closer to 600 bhp . It's pretty heavy. I can get consistent 4.2s to 60 but it starts slowing down after that (10.5ish to 100, 12.7ish@110 quarter).
The wheels are OEMs I bought them from Motorwerks.
I killed the GT3 last year because I couldn't rationalize (though I was trying really hard) having the GTR as my only viable winter vehicle. So I bought the X6M instead.
I reordered the Porsche a couple of weeks ago for February delivery. Now I have to start thinking about selling the Nissan. -

haha.. Have you tried BMW Minnetonka yet? I just switched over from Motorwerks, far better dealership in my opinion. Motorwerks is corporately owned and I feel as though you are not as respected as much by the SA's there... Perhaps it was just my SA or my age..Minnetonka is owned by the Pohlads privately. The on staff crew there seems to be a little bit more personable. I saw eye to eye with everyone over at Minnetonka a little bit better. You should certainly check it out!
Hahaha, you should like a true car enthusiast..
Yeah, the x6 is a controversial car regardless what you or I think, been that way since its conception.
Looking forward to pics of the GT3 Chip!

Thanks for the advice. Motorwerks is cold. I think Penske owns it. I have bought several cars from them and they couldn't care less. I take it Sears doesn't do BMW anymore?
You should go over to Valley Import. They have a new 997GT3 RS on the floor. Nice $168K car.
