im thinking about getting a turbo timer for my car since im putting everything in for the turbo in now and it would just be convenient to do it now while its parked and apart. But i want your guys opinion on them and if they are actually needed or if i would be fine going without it.

They aren't needed at all, but they are mildly entertaining. If you want one, i have one for sale 🙂

I wouldn't waste my money on one.

          PM me for:
          Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
          Diesel repairs or performance products.

A timer is nice to have if you are in a hurry and don't have time to wait for the turbo to cool (anyone else ever had to boost all the way to work or school?). I wouldn't buy just a timer, I would get something that has a few other features. The one I have for sale has a thermometer, volt-meter, several "stopwatches", and one or two other things that I've forgotten. It can be set to monitor the ignition and increase/decrease the idle time accordingly.
