1988 Mustang With Engine Swap
-
Hey buddie if you think about it the more horse the less traction and its was not a stock 455 it had quite a bit of buildups on it. it was not just some plane jane motor set in a stock mustang. and for your info its not a 7.5 rear end we switched the rear end to a 8.8 with 3.73 gears. it has 4x heads on it .30 over low end was built. it was origanally built for turbos so it is running really low compression. Edelbrock intake and carb. it has a 295 advance duration an a 534 gross lift. this was not stock so dont talk shit unless you know what you are talking about. you wanna talk to the people who built it call 701-729-2379
Not to be a dick either, but I have customers running 8.60s on built 8.8 w/ all ford suspension on 10 in tires. I'm not sure, but I would bet the 455 in that car doesn't have more than the 770 hp and 700+ torque (to the wheels of course)-
Guys are running low 8's on drag radials everyday and you can't hook up a 14 sec ride (what's the MPH- we'll tell you how much HP it has)??? Maybe I'm misinformed, but until then I'm with turbo 5.0.
If the car has a low compression 455 (which are turds anyway) and only a 534 lift with ??? LSA, I'm guessing it would put about 230 HP down and 290 tq. Just a guess- and I am not a smart man, but I saw it on TV once and figured this combo would fall right in there.
GO MIKEY!!!!

k no one ever said that it had that much horse...... but a stock 455 has about 9.5:1 compression and there pushing out about 260 horse and 300 pounds of tq. and that 455 is running about 7.5:1 compression there was abosultly no suspension work done to it and it had about 8 inch cooper cobras on it. and no one ever said that it was gonna be 9 sec car. that is what we were gonig to shoot for with the turbos! so if you dont think that there is a traction problem with i bet you could ask josh real nice for a ride in it once and youll see for yourself. how bout that

plus this car was not built to please anyone else but us, the people who built it
