Mr. Brown is not hating or doubting at all, until you have a time-slip from a drag strip with the proper timing equipment everything else is unverifiable. That vbox may very well be extremely accurate and this conversation a moot point but it's like saying I ran a 4.5 40 yard dash by counting in my head.Oh and I'm with Faber I'd love to verify the performance first hand from the passenger seat

-
It isn't moot because the equipment is accurate. And Mr brown was doubting and hating.
Why make snide comments then?
And you're more than welcome to take a spin.
Frankly I don't even care about quarter mile times. I just threw it out there because its a standard performance benchmark.
The quarter is for one dimensional cars . -

The quarter is for one dimensional cars .Take the GTR out and do some auto-x or road course racing. Its a blast!

Zach u must be really bored? So if he does go to the track an run 11.3 or Quicker are ya gonna stick ur foot in ur mouth?Lol no, it is just too easy to get into his panties
"Look guys my car went low 11's with a rollout on my nifty GPS thingamajig. Add me to the top 20 fastest list! Afterall it is the EXACT SAME thing as a real drag strip, right??"

I'm gonna agree with Zac on this one.
Until the time is run at a legit dragstrip with legit timing equipment, the vehicle hasn't run that time.
Now, it may run the same time at the track. If it does, congrats.
I don't care what a vbox, gbox, xbox, gtech or vtec says.
BTW.....low 11s will prolly get you into the Quick 8.
-
Me thinks its you that has his panties in a bunch. Did I say it was at a drag strip? Did I say I wanted to be placed on anyones drag times list?
No. I said I ran a quarter mile with a 1 ft rollout with a Vbox. If you think the instrument is wrong back it up. I don't think its wrong. It has had consistent reads since I bought it (on a variety of vehicles) and they're usually very close to most conservative reviews (ie none of the Car and Driver fudging to make a car seem faster than it is).
Now, do I think its as accurate as being measured at a drag strip? No. But it's pretty close and gives a pretty clear indication of what the car would do if it were at a one.
I am confused as to your gripe. Is it that the instrument is unreliable? Or that the car isn't that fast? -

So I assume you're questioning all the benchmarks(0-60, 0-100, 1/4) I gave then?

I'm not trying to fight with you. I will stand by my statement though. If it didn't run it at a dragstrip, it didn't run it.

^^^where did I say it ran at a drag strip? It definitely went a quarter mile. Several times. Timed. Measured.
Are you saying I'm lying about that?I didn't say, that you said, that it ran at a track. We all know it didn't. I have little faith in your timing equipment.
Of course it went a quarter mile. It's been plenty of quarter miles. Just read the odometer.
Bring me to the road you ran on and point to the starting and finish lines. We can even measure between them.

Dude just settle, I gave you some bait and you took it, no body is serious
Yes the car is fast and will turn good times obviously. I was trying to get a rise out of you like I do everyone and it worked

^^^^^^Truth.
I also read on nhra.com that all cars competing at national events will be equipped with a Vbox, so they can do away with traditional timing lights.

my gtr went 10.9. i wont race you, though. i dont have to. my gps uses 453 satellites instead of four. plus mine uses a much better compensation for the curvature of the earth. i know it is minimal in a quarter mile but i refuse to accept even the slightest of errors. my zbox also compensates for sea level, headwind, and whether or not an earthquake changed the speed of the earths rotation in the last 18 months. i fiigure since i am lighter thn the average driver and i only had 1/2 gallon of gas in the tank that number is completely accurate. its is right on par with everyone else plus i am lighter so duh winning.

What's funny is that its you drag strip guys are the ones that are getting your panties in a twist. Like I said, I couldn't care less about a drag strip. The timing was close enough to give a fair indication of what the car would do at one though.
Just threw out some initial readingsi on an accurate piece of equipment right after my car came out of its break in.
