Besides that point, outside of the groove at Sabin on Sat. was worse than launching on the street for me.. not sure if there is a solution besides buying slicks or maybe for street days upping the priceDrag radials and/or aftermarket suspension?

Was also wondering if street tires will ever be allowed into the groove on street days anymore? My street car will unfortunately never run again if not since outside of the groove was terrible on Saturday.so you want to degrade the traction for everyone and let the starting area get all ate up with the street tires??
The track was AWESOME compared to every other time i have been to sabin, especially considering all the street cars dragging shit out there and eating it up
you should take note of all the VHT sprayed, shit on saturday evening you could loose a shoe it was so sticky, no lie
Big shout out to Ethan and the playtime guys, Charlie and the track guys, and TM! great event! great track and atmosphere!

So, someone enlighten me... I saw some cars running with passengers, and some passengers getting booted out of the cars... What gives? This is because to go down the track you need to wear full leg'd pants and a minimum of a t'shirt (no shorts, tank tops, etc) and we had to as passengers wearing these to get out and they could ride with if they could find a t'shirt and/or pants.

That is false unfortunately.. Bradenton Motorsports in Bradenton Florida allows street tires in the groove right next to cars cutting 1.4 60 foots in them, so does Gainesville raceway and most other tracks outside of the sticks here in the Midwest.Besides that point, outside of the groove at Sabin on Sat. was worse than launching on the street for me.. not sure if there is a solution besides buying slicks or maybe for street days upping the price
Gainesville used to be my home track and I have never seen them run street tires in the groove, but anyway... Its unfortunate you had traction problems and I know Charlie wants every single racer to be happy but really the track was exceptional all the way across. I spent a lot of time on the starting line and it was very sticky. Slap a set of slicks on and you will be happier at the track anyway....

My street car will unfortunately never run again if not since outside of the groove was terrible on Saturday.Street tires will not be allowed to run in the groove, even on bracket days our regular trophy and sportsman racers running anything but slicks get coned and run outside of the groove. The entire track surface was prepped the same, only difference was the amount of rubber in the groove which is what we are protecting.
If that is how you feel I am honestly sorry to hear that, someone not wanting to come back is the last thing I want, but this is how I run the track and how it will continue to be run.

Track was amazing on Saturday. I was getting some 1.49x 60' so I can't complain at all!! Nice work

i have to say i was impressed with the evos, shit Joe and Kevin were launching the F*ck out of those things on full slicks and neither had any broken parts
also felt bad for the kid with the Nissan, that car was clean and impressed me with how quick it was
lol and AJ, i was like WTF when you went bye, haha....... I had to do a double take
and Brian is crazy on that turbo bike, /story

Charlie, will you let cars running drag radials in the groove?Drag radials are a bit of a tough call, to start and for the most part radials will not be allowed in the grove. However, a driver who feels his car is set up properly can ask myself and my starter to watch a pass or two and if we feel the same they will be allowed to run in the grove. I have to be honest though and say I have to be pretty confident in the driver/car to allow that.

That is correct. The idea was to try and keep it affordable, and entice people to spend the weekend at Top End Dragways and partake in the camping festivities! :icon_cheers:Jason Christopherson

Fargo, NDI paid $25 for 2 day spectating and camping, and when I was told that it was supposed to be $15 by someone, I asked the on Sunday at the gate, and she said it was supposed to be $15, and when I told her I paid $25, she said that was right, so I didn't feel like arguing. This should be figured out for the next day.
Good weekend, i wish we had gotten to run more on Sunday, but things just didn't work out like that. Some good runs this weekend, congrats to Kevin and Zac, both cars looked sick.

This was due to an error by the lady running the ticket booth on Saturday, she got confused by the extra $10 required if camping Saturday night but not racing Sunday. Please call or pm me asap so I can get this corrected,
THanks -
Couple vids from sunday, will get saturdays up tomorrow
