Here are some photos of my machine shop Midwest Welding & Drive. We primarily specialize in drive shaft and pto work whether it be repairing old units to building new. We also do a lot of machining and fabrication work...obviously. Another venture we have decided to take is line boring. Just ordered a new portable line boring setup the other day so we can repair just about any hole that has a pin for a pivot(pay loaders, excavators, skid steers, etc...)

Its not much, but its a start. I would really like to get rid of some of this archaic equipment soon and start buying newer CNC stuff. But I'm making due with this for now. It all works, just takes a little more finesse than just pushing a button and letting a computer do the work.

Man, you have allot tied up in that, but nice tooling can make your day, and bring in the cash. Nice to see that market taken over by someone with organization and can get things done. Nothing worse than that fucking mess at Thurlow's and waiting 2 months for a fucking driveshaft!

We usually guarantee same day service...unless I don't have the parts on hand. But that usually doesn't happen. We also decided to be open from 8am-8pm instead of shutting down at 5. Found that a lot of people like that. Seems to be a little more convenient for the average working man who can't generally make it over during the work day.

NDSU has a racing team? And depends on what kind of stuff you are talking about. I'm always open to suggestions. We have 2...possibly 3 race cars with the name on it for this next race season on dirt but I'm sure that's different than what you are doing. Shoot me a text whenever. 701-541-1876

Yeah we have a racing team. You can google search NDSU SAE to see a little of what we do. I'll shoot you a text sometime in the near future! Thanks!

Went ahead and got some new toys over the last couple of weeks. Picked up a brand new line boring machine for repairing the pin holes on excavators and pay loaders. Can do holes anywhere from 1.75" up to 8" diameter holes. Also got a Miller Spoolmatic gun so I can MIG aluminum. We are now offering aluminum drive shaft work! I'll post up a few pictures tomorrow!
