Ammunition - where in town sells?
-
Seeing as how ammunition is getting hard to come by, where all sells in the metro? I've been trying different places on my way home from work every day trying to find some more.
Scheels
Fleet Farm
Gander Mountain
Wal-Mart Fargo (x2)
OutdoorsmanWhere else? Does WalMart in Dilworth sell ammo?
Haven't been able to find CCI Mini-Mags in quite a while (or much of anything that isn't hollowpoint) and 9MM has been limited.

Dilworth Walmart does sell ammo; however, I am unsure of how much selection they normally have.
Gander Mountain is pretty overpriced for ammo $14 per box price difference between Scheels and Gander on the 9mm I bought a couple weeks ago. What's everyone thoughts on buying ammo online?

Ok, good to see Gander is just overpriced and that that's not the current going price. I'll avoid them.
I don't see why ordering online would be an issue as long as you can find what you want. I haven't actually found what I want online.

i usually get my stuff at Gander our Fleet Farm. i try to stay away from Scheels cause they piss me off. i dont make it over to Outdoorsman much. other then the places you listed, i dont know of any other place of getting ammo.

Shipping can be expensive unless you buy a lot

I buy ammo online. A lot from cabelas. which you can get free shipping with the right codes at checkout. but good luck finding any, Everywhere online is sold out right now. Outdoorsman is sold out of everything except hunting rounds. 243,270, 30-06 etc. Fleet Farm usually has pistol ammo in stock. Scheels usually does too. If you are looking for .223/5.56 or FMJ 308, its not going to happen. Dilworth walmart sells ammo as well but pistol ammo at walmart has been sold out as soon as it comes in stock. I bought most of the 5.56 thats in stock at gander several different times. They get more in stock and it goes fast, so I just make a habit of stopping in and checking on it several times a week. Ganders pistol ammunition is usually overpriced, but when you cant find any you dont have a choice. I have been stocking up on ammo, so when I see it I buy it.

I'm just looking for 9mm and a decent .22LR round that's not shot or hollowpoint.
Might have to break down and see if my SR22 will feed hollowpoints.Thankfully I stocked up on some 9mm (I think I counted 1400 rounds last night) while I could still find it so it might last me a few months if I'm conservative in my trips to the range.
Sounded like WalMart had some in the warehouse that might go out in a couple days so I'll have to try them again and maybe just make a habit of swinging through Fleet Farm every night.

I want a M&P 9mm bad, have one on backorder, but thinking about trying to get a .40 just cause the ammo for that is plentiful right now.

Why on backorder? I was fairly certain they have M&P in stock at scheels when I went the other weekend. They did to last time I checked, idk about in 9mm though. I want the range kit version if possible since it come with a bunch of extras and is barely any more money, and also my parents own a gun shop so i'd rather go through them then a place like scheels.

When I last purchased 9mm round Gander was significantly less than Scheels when purchased in quantity. I had purchased 640 rounds @ Gander for the same amount of money I spent on 500 rounds at Scheels.... but that was the 22nd of December and things may have changed by then. I haven't checked much since then.

Winchester white box is what I usually pick up. Walmart was about $0.23/rd, Fleet Farm $0.25/rd or so, and Scheels was a couple cents higher. Price that I found at Gander was closer to $0.35/rd.

You need to invest in a trench coat then, or some concealed carry shirts. http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Shirts/Concealed-Carry.html

UMC was what I bought at that time I believe. Most recently I picked up some Fiocchi for $0.27/rd. Scheels was out, FF was out, Walmart was out... so $.27 didn't seem all that ridiculous considering they actually had some on hand.
Bought some .380 rounds (250 rounds) and some .223 & 5.56 rounds as well (840 rounds) as well as 1600 rds of .22 for my M&P 15-22 at that time as well. Now to start learning how to reload.....

Just an FYI, Scheels in Fargo currently has the following in stock:
.223 $1/rd
5.56 $.60/rd
.380 $.40/rd
.45 varies/rd
.327
.40
.17Also, Magpul PMAG30 magazines are plentiful.
