What did you do to your ride today?

Ha! Pretty sure that's the manufacturing date, and while it's been on the shelf a little longer than I'd like, it sounds like that's pretty normal.
<snip> When I visit our retail partners, most of the batteries I see on shelves were manufactured within the last 12-18 months. <snip>

www.twitter.com/optimabatteriesThere's a lot of anecdotal stuff out there about lower quality since they moved manufacturing to Mexico. I guess I'll find out. Good news is they bumped the warranty up to 3 years now. -
Purchase date.
OPTIMA
Batteries, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that the battery is free of defects in material and workmanship for the time period indicated below. The warranty period for a battery is calculated from the original battery purchase date. The original sale receipt is required to establish proof of purchase and warranty date, and must be provided to an authorized OPTIMA distributor or dealer for all warranty claims. -
Nice, my wife's truck has one burnt out in the 4wd selector I need to replace.
I forgot to mention this the other day, but I replaced my Stinger ANL fuse holder (too much bling) with a breaker for the low key win.

Compression test.

Failed.
WTB: WRX SMFW, KB pickup, top feed fuel rails, ID 1000s, 68HTA... Let me know if anyone has any of this locally.

Pulled my engine on Saturday, and got the heads off the block last night.

Heads are done. Still waiting on the short block and turbo.
Plenty of other stuff to keep me busy... Need to pull the tranny and replace the shift shaft seal. I was trying to do it with the transmission still under the car but it's not happening very easily without a lift.
Gutting and porting my TGVs this week too, about 3/4ths done. Got the butterflies and rods removed, divider plates cut out, the holes welded and one of them ported so far.
Couple pics...

Need to take some time and just clean parts too. Scrub em up, paint what needs to be painted...

Car's back down. Has been since before Christmas, just haven't had the time to work on it over the holidays & travel. Hope to get back on it soon.
In the meantime,
Step 1: Identify Subaru problem
Step 2: Solve Subaru problem
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
Sold 44 so far, and likely have 27 of the next batch sold when it comes in.
