It shouldn't be too far off tune, since it's a stock ITR motor with I'm assuming the proper stock ITR ECU, and an intake and header. I'm sure if you tuned it with an AFC or something you might pick up another 5-10HP at most.
yea i agree but i dont have itr ecu its obd2 i have obd1 so im runnin p28 mugen ecu
so yea maybe 10 hp? -
Even 10 whp on a stock motor is hard to come by. That's a big jump all motor.
Best bet would be swap the program on the chip to stock ITR and call it a day. -

prolly not..............Unless you touched the motor you're not going to get 10 or more whp out of a tune past a stock ECU chip on a relatively well tuned stock B series motor.
Burn a chip utilizing a stock ecu map and then see where you can go from there.
The last all motor car I tuned picked up between 17 and 23 whp and it was far from stock and far from running an ECU program anywhere near the stock chip.I/H/E on every car I have dynoed has never provided any major gains at all. Mid range yes, large peak increases, no. Maybe you'll have better luck if you carb it.
Haha. -

Just wondering, how much does a ride like that cost, after you have done everything to it.
i dont really know how much money i have into it total.
motor was 4500.00 then all the stuff for it...header,valve cover, strut bar etc...
i gets up there pretty quick. If i had to guess i would say like 9k maybe more ballpark figure thats doin everything myself no install fee or labor $. -

My car has a horrible tune from the factory, and with a diablo predator or superchips custom tuner people have seen 15-20whp and 15-20wtq on a stock SVT engine just re-flashing the ECU with the preloaded tunes. And there are dyno graphs to prove this. Of course if you drove my car you would realize how horrible the tune on it is..
And whats with jumping all over kirks shit dude? He was stating a fact... the bosi guy that drives that STi is an idiot and doesnt know how to drive. I was sitting next to him at a stop light once and he was all reving and shit and attempted to launch once it hit green, but he ended up killing the car as I pulled away laughing at him.

Hondas are quite different though. Hondas have rather good tunes on them stock, unless it is the s2k. The s2k has seen 20-25 whp with the switch to an AEM EMS over the stock computer.
Most B series motors with your AVERAGE intake, header, and exhaust will pickup around 10-15 whp fully tuned with the new parts. The thing about stock hondas is the broad powerband they have from the factory, that pulls all the way up to redline. That is what makes them quicker than most.

My power band pulls 200rpm short of my redline... with the same tune I was talking about it increases to 7800rpm with an 8k red line... stock is 7000rpm it tops out at with 72000red line. Its just SVT didnt put enough time into tuning it correctly.a ford focus, and a honda with an itr motor are two different worlds. you're comparing apples to oranges.
