like the title says, i'm looking to buy a 420a engine for my talon. theres one i'm lookin at on ebay (yes i saw the kirk video lol) but i definitley wanna check around here first. so if you know of anyone that could be selling one or know a place i should check out, let me know. thanks.

yeah if i was plannin on going real fast, i wouldnt even consider the 420a. i wouldnt mind just getting a t3/t4 star stage 1 kit by the end of the summer, but ive heard alotta bad things about both star and hahn so i'll have a million questions when the time comes

both of those can give you plenty of info about hahn and star. i'm guessing most of the bad stuff you've heard is about bad installs and not the parts
kevin, you are looking in the wrong places. i've seen (almost) complete 4g63t swaps going for 2-3k.

i would look around for some feedback about those guys first, but it just goes to show that there are places to go for everything in a package -
Trust me, it is FAR cheaper to just buy a turbo car to start with.
You can find turbo 2G talons for under 3500 around here... last winter there was one for sale for 3200...
Star no longer makes turbo kits, Hahn is outrageously expensive... You can however, find the manifolds on ebay now.

HRC has always been overpriced.
HRC also sells turbo/manifold combos for a reasonable price. I ended up with a S20G + HRC manifold for $800 shipped.
A lot of the manifolds on eBay are for neons so watch out.
