The actual weather last year sucked...i remember wearing a sweatshirt most of the day because it was cold and raining all day...but that means this year will be great....its just bound to be that way...

I've heard its the #1 place to be over the 4th too...but maybe not this year..i'm sure there will be a few less people there because 10k festival isnt over the 4th this year...

...i've been doing to DL for the 4th ever since i was real young ..and its always been fun...and your lots..theres lots of fine girls walking around....

...I have a lake cabin about 30 miles from DL so if anyone wants to party over the 4th let me know.

well my goal is to get my car done in time to go to DL for the fourth, so if there is a group going from fargo I think I would be cool to cruise with them. As for fireworks, yes they are illeagle in MN, but I don't think the law has anything to say about signal flares...

DL is not the #1 place to be on the 4th of July and it hasn't been close to that for many years. The heyday was the late 80's early 90's when the city basically just let everyone do whatever they wanted. Back then it was like Mardi Gras with 50,000 people flocking to the city every 4th. Now it is much more controlled and toned down with cops patrolling the streets inch by inch. There are fewer and fewer people on the beach every year.
Nevertheless, DL is still a ton of fun!
....and you CAN shoot fireworks in MN just as PSiedTSi said.
