Were you Modded or something? The one we raced looked brand new, It had newest rims I think.No it was a white one, probibly 98 and didn't seem too pristine.
A 24 valve one is within 100 LBs of the prelude and would be a very close race. Why'd you get rid of it and what do you drive now?

what I said at the race was "VW rates it at 174hp at the weels, somewhere around 200at the crank." How am I changing my story? The 12v VR6 in 2001 and older cars makes 174hp, the new VR's (2002 and up) have a 24valve head and make 200hp at the wheels. I drove the older variety.

I do think though that Rob's focus is one of the most under rated N/A FWD cars out there. Period. I hate Ford, I hate everything about them to be quite honest but the first time I drove his SVT I was SERIOUSLY impressed. The interior is sharp, very thoughful and well done. Backseat is comfortable. The car screams practicality and is very peppy in the upper rpm range for stock. Fun car to drive whether your racing or daily driving. If that car had 250 whp in all honesty, to me at least, 20 g's would be well worth it.

12 sec front wheel drive car.... not a whole lot of those rolling around fargo. I can think of one or two. It's a LOT more difficult than most people think. you can pretty much rule out any NA car and any turbo car with a stock turbo, and you can rule out most any car that is still full weight...

How about we spend assloads of money we dont have chasing dreams that will never come true then file bankruptcy and have our daddy's bail us out? I have a fucking job working harder then youll ever even think about working in your pathetic little life asshole. And im learning a trade that in the next couple of years will have me making more money than about 95% of the people I went to highschool with. There are more priorities in life then cars you know. But thats fine if you want to sit around jerking off thinking about driving your 10second car that doesnt even run anymore you do that. Ill keep working my job putting money away towards a house and more important things and slowly modify my car like im doing.
Im probably more financially balanced than youd think of a 19yr old kid. I have priorities set and im working towards them. And if you want to talk about getting off your ass and working come work with me on a job site one day and lets see how long you last doing what I do. I doubt you would make it... shit I dont remember the last 8hr day I worked... and im just waiting to get sent out of town to work nice long 12hr days. Not to mention the stress and job load you get thrown on your shoulders at the end of a job when shits not going right. I may only be an apprentice but the journeymen pass their shit down on us to lighten the load.

Flowcus, chill out man, it's just a forum. He expressed his opinion and you expressed yours, no need to go psycho on him cuz he doesn't agree w/ you. When did he say he was better than the rest of us? All he said was that until it becomes reality AND you put down the numbers that you claim, then all it is is speculation. I'm guilty of it too. I was CONFIDENT that I could put some mid 12's up w/ my setup, others online had gone that fast or faster. My best is 13.20 @ 101mph. I dynoed 283 whp and 296 lbs/ft on pump gas. What does that mean? X amount of whp does NOT equate to a Y time or Z trap speed. There are tons of factors at work, not the least of which is getting enough traction out of a FWD car. I'm not saying you can't/won't be able to do it, I'm just saying that it's not as easy as bolting on parts, strapping in and running 12's. I think that is what Nick was saying in his post as well. You can say what you want about him, he has put up some great numbers w/ both the DSM and the Integra. He knows what is involved in getting to the next level of speed. And, I wouldn't really be cocking off about him not working long days, the SLS guys spend an awful lot of time at the shop working (as do all the other shops in town, not trying to discredit anyone here) I have no idea what you do for a living Rob, and this is not intended to be an insult to you (or anyone else on here). I am sure your job is just as demanding as everyone else's is (maybe more so) and I do wish you luck in your project(s).

The last I heard he had sold his 10 second car and is in the process of building not one but three....so yes he is better then you. Remeber, this is a car forum. This isnt a pissing contest involving schooling, education, employment(unless you build cars) or financial wellbeing. If you drive a svt focus and you cock off to the owner of one of the more prominent "speed shops" you are probably not the level headed well balanced 19year old you claim to be.
