I have been asking the same question around lately and I guess the place to go for a good paintjob would be NZ customs or something like that but be ready to pay pretty good money for it.

I've seen the results of a good DIY paint job, and the guy had definitely done it before with good equipment. Pay someone else to do it and get a warranty.

If you don't want to spend the money to do it right the first time don't even bother.

When I get around to getting my car repainted I figure it will cost arounf $3500 to get the car to better than day it came off the assembly line.

It depends on what color you want to paint it. I guessing labor is pretty closely priced between shops unless it's a specialty shop like aurora or odden's.

best thing to do if you dont wanna spend alot of money is to just dig in. The body work isnt all that hard. there's alot of info out there to help you. you just have to apply yourself and you cannot lose patience. spraying takes some skill......some body shops will spray your car for a lower price than the whole job.

quick tip: if the factory paint is showing through the new paint, sand down the newer paint until you get to the original color. you want to o this because the person who repainted it obviously didn't take the time to properly scuff the old paint so there is adhesion problems. n e other questions just ask.

its all in the prep work. Its peeling off because the paint isn't sticking for probably numerous reasons. Its not the paint, or how the gun sprayed it on.......PREP WORK!
