"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. The paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. In states where rust is a problem, this should be very minimal, and a deduction should be made to correct it. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A clean title history is assumed. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail; however major reconditioning should be deducted from the value. Most recent model cars owned by consumers fall into this category.Private Party Value Search Local Listings for This Car $3,665
Private Party value represents what you might expect to pay for a used car when purchasing from a private party. It may also represent the value you might expect to receive when selling your own used car to another private party. -

That is why it has specific books for country regions, trade in value, loan value, retail value, every vehicle option available, and vehicle specific milage deduction charts. This is also the reason they are updated monthly=to cover depreciation.
..but your probably right, they just print books for shits and giggles all the while laughing at people/businesses who consult them.
If you were to go to a dealer(not unlike my father) and you told him you wanted 6k for it, he would look up your vehicle and even low ball the loan value so good luck. Private party selling is your best bet to recoup expenses though.
Ill give ya 2200 for it by the way.
