For the money we as fans pay to goto the games, I sure as hell don't want to back a team that shoots to be a "just fine" team.

Well to start the year off we had plenty of good hitters that did not live up to there capabilities. Morneau, Mauer, Jones, Hunter, Stewart are each capable to hit 20 + home runs a year. ESPN had them picked to win the world series, it just didnt work out. Why waste millions of dollars on one player who can hit homeruns when they can get a couple of players that will help the team in other ways. You cant win it every year with the players that can HIT. Look at the Yankees..........So with the use of the payroll, there minor league system, and signing of free agents, I would say they are doing "Just Fine". They play the game right, hustle all the time, and are not overpayed whiny little bitches..........

We have a few "good" hitters and then we have some real bad hitters. We don't have any "great" hitters. I think we need at least one more great hitter that we can always depend on. Someone that we can count on to get 25-30 home runs/year without question.
And I don't think Stewart is ever going to be a 20+ home run a year hitter or even close for that matter.

Alfonso Soriano would have been nice. Stewart does not hit for power, just average. My bad. Lets see what they do this offseason. Get rid of Hunter, Jones, and Lohse and perhaps get someone good in return.

He is just confused...............he might have went color blind (reason for 8 interceptions in 2 games)

color blind and has parkensons disease or something...fumbles all the time also.

Randy moss had a 60yd TD yesterday though!

Randy Moss can make big plays... no doubt about it. Our receiver group we have now can as well if the QB would throw them the ball.
We played 3 complete games without Moss last year and many more where he sat out the majority of the plays and our offense did not completely shut down and fall apart without him by any means.
Moss is not the reason for all of these turnovers and fumbles and the rest of the crap that's happening now.

most accurate and most talented...i think not...they have had alot of good qb's.....and as for 2 bad games...go over the last 2-3 years and he has had the most turnovers out of ever qb in the league.

Agree. His strongest suit is that he is big and can run the ball, but if he can't hold on to it, it doesn't matter too much.

I am with ya on that one. Over Culpepper's career (76 games), he has thrown 82 interceptions and has 78 fumbles (lost 33). That's an average of over 1.5 turnovers a game and could have been well over 2 if some of those fumbles hadn't been recovered.
He's not very bright on top of that. He can't read the defense very well.
Brad Johnson isn't the answer... but we gotta find someone who is.
We don't need a damn perfect QB, but we need someone that won't get us beat with turnovers.

As far as the running back situation, we better find someone in the near future and stick with him. NOBODY is going to get any confidence if we keep up this 3 man running back game.

But I thought last year, he was your savior? He was damn near as good as Peyton I was told. Best QB in the league I heard over and over and over. Had among the highest pass ratings in the league. Favre couldn't hold a candle to him. All those things I heard from Vikings fans, damn its funny to watch you guys jump ship....

This I am assuming is directed at Vikings fans in general... because you don't know me personally and haven't heard any good Culpepper statements from me before. Anyone that watches football with me knows I have always hated Culpepper. Peyton is the best by far in my book. I also like Favre better.
I am not jumping ship on Culpepper... I've never been on the ship.

I'm not jumping ship! Favre's overrated ass can't hold a candle to Daunte Culpepper. Period. I seem to remember Brett Favre a few years back throwing a few interceptions in a game.....FIVE is the number I remember.....in a PLAYOFF game! Just because some ignorant fair weather fans think that Daunte Culpepper is the problem, doesn't mean all Vikings fans feel that way. Everyone has a bad game.
Daunte will bounce back when the Vikings get a few things...

                                          1. a decent offensive line that will keep the pocket for more than 1 second.
                                          2. an offensive coordinator that has heard the phrase "3 step drop" and can call plays accordingly.
                                          3. a back who can carry the ball 20 times a game consistently (thanks Onterrio "pot is more important to me than football" Smith)

I'll be the first to admit that my expectations were high before this year....they'll be high every year. Why wouldn't they be? That's what makes being an NFL fan fun. There's always a chance. Gotta love parity.
