Well a little over 8 months of owning my talon, it FINALLY decides to have its first issue....

It was only my 3rd run of the day....I got to the end of the strip and was letting off when I heard 4 faint pops/puffs....I looked in my mirror and saw 4 puffs of blue smoke beind me. My car bogged down and died at the end....had a tough time starting, but it did, and I managed to idle it to the timeslip booth...as it died there too....once again started up and got it to a parking spot, but by this time it was halfways running ok.

Took it down the highway next to the track and it was smoking BAD when I would get on the gas or shift gears....but turbo spooled normally and right up to 20psi...that was the only time I got on it, making sure the turbo was fine.

Drove home with no real complaints....just when I would shift or hit the gas after letting off would be a major smoke screen behind me. But it made it back to my apartment.

Im going to pick up a compression tester tomorrow and check that....but otherwise im sure I toasted a ring or two....

That sucks. Sounds like there were a lot of breaks this weekend. Atleast last race of the year so you have all winter to build

i hate it when stuff brakes but its just an opertunity to make things better 😄

i just broke mine before last track day cause i didn't want to tow it back and to get a good head start and have fall and winter to research and build.
