a buddy of mine's dad does body work out of his own shop for a very reasonable price at that. instead of getting you new body panals etc. if what you have is repairable, he'll use that instead of trying to sell you a new one. Let's put it this way, there was a female that got her 92-95 civic hit hard in the back, and quality quoted her 3000-3500 for the damage...the guy i know charged her $475 to fix it all...just as a comparison...also, this is a one man shop, so things can take awhile, but trust me, he does good work. pm me if you want his number.

Well as he stated he's not replacing the damaged panels. In that case there's only one word for that BONDO! Fuck that.

"Just because you know it all doesn't mean you can do it all"

"If you can't afford to do it right the first time can you afford to do it a second time?"

k, so i have Beyers in Fergus tearing my car apart fixing stuff, and the timing belt case is cracked and my overflow container was rubbing on the pulley for the timing belt, what are the chances my timing is now retarded? The guy that was tearing stuff apart claims theres no way it jumped or slipped since the timing belt is still intact.

he mainly tries to pull dents out, or slowly pound them out (as he did with my hood). only uses bondo when necessary (or if the person wants, he will of course use new materials). for somthing that's not going to be a show car, or for somebody that's on a tight budget, i think it's just fine. he did an awesome job on my car too. basically, if i ever have any body work that needs to be done, i'll go to him because i know his work and you cant beat his price. also, if you help him out with your car (mainly help out sanding) he'll give you a discount because that saves him a bunch of time.

Money is of no concern as insurance is paying for it all.

Yeah, I am hoping I can get some mechanically inclined people to say my timing is fucked so i can say that my valves are most likely bent and bla bla so they will replace my motor. Given the above described situation is my timing effed up?

There is no way a PLACTIC overflow bottle will make your timing belt jump...that pulley would destroy it....

But good luck with your insurance fraud...yay!

Dude, I live in Fergus Falls and I know all the guys at Beyers Body shop and there's no way in hell you are going to scam them or the insurance company. Especially after I show them this thread. And believe me, I will. It's fucks like you that make our insurance rates so high. I hope YOU get the shaft after this.
