There is no way a PLACTIC overflow bottle will make your timing belt jump...that pulley would destroy it....

But good luck with your insurance fraud...yay!

Dude, I live in Fergus Falls and I know all the guys at Beyers Body shop and there's no way in hell you are going to scam them or the insurance company. Especially after I show them this thread. And believe me, I will. It's fucks like you that make our insurance rates so high. I hope YOU get the shaft after this.

I thought it was Brady. Not too bright bud. I've been dealing with Beyers for years now.

You FOOLS I was asking if it should be something I should be worried about. The guy said a buncha plastic went through my gears and i'm not the most mechanically inclined person so i was wondering if it could have thrown my timing off. Way to jump the gun tho and be a buncha dumbasses.

I made a similar post on WRXtuners.com, this is what the post said. Maybe you want to go check it out....

                        k.

I hit a deer with my stock 02 WRX between 70 and 80.

I brought it in to get looked at and i noticed my radiators overflow container is rubbing on my timing belt. Also, my timing belt CASE is cracked.

The belt is still intact and the mechanic working on my car says that the motor is fine but he may just be trying to save my insurance company money.

What are the chances that the rubbing has retarded my timing and how possibile is it that I now have bent valves and all the other business that comes along when a timing belt jumps or slips.

Hopefully thats a bit better i am most definetely the king of run on sentences. Shouldn't have skipped english to much i guess.

At no point am I trying to scam anyone, i am trying to make sure my car gets fixed properly I pay my insurance premiums every month for a reason, and that is when something like this happens i'm covered. Sure i was kinda hoping my timing did jump but thats far beyond the point.

Yeah, I am hoping I can get some mechanically inclined people to say my timing is fucked so i can say that my valves are most likely bent and bla bla so they will replace my motor. Given the above described situation is my timing effed

These are 3 seperate posts from you in this very thread. And that is the very point I was making here. They both sound like a scam to me along with a few other people that replied. So don't sit there on your high horse and call us fools when we all took it the same way.

And as for a answer to your question. (as you put it). If your car runs fine, the timing belt did NOT jump and your valves are fine. Case closed. This is also no longer a tech question and consider the thread closed.
