Would it be worth it/possible to use an autotragic with a KLZE?
When you buy the KLZE does the stock Probe tranny fit it?
What would be the best bang for the buck computer with the KLZE and do you need to dyno tune it or can you do it in your garage?

It's possible. The KLZE only came with an automatic tranny in Japan. I believe it's quite comparable to the US-spec automatic tranny.

The cheapo way is to use the stock US-spec ECU and combine that with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump the pressure up a bit. This won't be optimal for power output by any means. The KLZE ECU can be ordered from www.corksport.com, and it will have the correct VRIS activation RPM points. The best way for maximizing the power band on the ZE is to switch over to a Megasquirt standalone and either dyno tune it or do a good road tune.

would it be a waste of time putting a KLZE and an auto-tragic together or would it still have good power?

It depends. It's been done, but the one guy I have in mind was a diehard automatic guy. If you intended to do any drag racing you might want to check out Level 10. http://www.levelten.com/store/ford/packages/parts_probe.htm

thanks a lot. I'm just asking cuz I found a nice GT Probe, but it's an auto. If I would buy it how hard/or pricy would it be to swap in a manual tranny sence I could get the KLZE motor, tranny, and ECU.

I've never done an auto-manual tranny swap. I know you have to swap the pedal assemblies, change axles, install the clutch hydraulic parts, and more.

hum.... what about using a SE instead of a GT. I know the motor mounts and Electrical wouldn't be the same. How bad would that get?
