You've crossed over to the German world now.....as the V'dub commercials flash in my head, I love that guy, he's hilarious. Goodluck with it, Id love to own one myself, but dont like the fact that they have among the most complicating electrical systems in the world that like to blow fuses and catch fire......that said, I think that the newer ones have gotten better, but they are sure still not fun for diagnosing.

That's the plan... The only trouble is, theres a little bit of modification you have to do to get a double DIN to work, as it hits the air vents in back; also the faceplate bezel costs like $250 for the double din, and you need to buy a relocation bracket for the climate control.

I'm really liking the Eclipse AVN series double DINs... seem to have awesome features; I'd consider kenwood too depending on the price.

If I end up going single din, i'd prob do a Pioneer Avic-N3

One thing I don't get though is why they downgraded in horsepower for the next generation. HP/Trq (by the book) for my car is 189/181. E46 325s have 184/175. Why would you make a new engine with less horsepower than that of the previous generation with the same displacement?

                      Anyway just thinking out loud...

What are your plans for it besides a nav system/possible rims like hando said?
