Winnipeg Tuners Prepare for Showcase of the Year

Winnipeg, MB – July 10th, 2006 – Since its inception in 2002, Team SCP’s production of the BFGoodrich Sport Compact Nights(SCN) has been touring the country and promoting modern car culture at a furious pace. July 15th marks the return of this event to the mid-west city of Winnipeg, where “cruise-night” on Portage continues to rock and sport compact fever is hotter than ever.

“Year after year, SCN Winnipeg continues to be a top destination for our event.” said Ben Woo, national director, Team SCP, “Winnipegers are absolute fanatics about car customization and we are excited that our event can play a role in nurturing this passion.”

Special features for this year’s event includes the first ever appearances of genuine “drift” vehicles including RS-R Japan’s Lexus IS300 and Speedtech Racing of Calgary’s Nissan 240sx. Model talent include an all-star lineup featuring California’s Jeri Lee and Courtney Day, along with Canadian supermodels Carolyn Savage(Toronto), Misa Campo(Montreal), Stephanie Ly(Calgary) and Winnipeg’s own, Dannie Riel. Local urban acts such as Bonafide and Tiffany & Defiance are also scheduled to perform on the Rocawear Stage.

With a proven formula of combining impressive corporate vendor booths including the likes of BFGoodrich Tires, Castrol Oil, XM Radio and Mazda amongst many others, and top notch show vehicles from across the continent exclusive to SCN, car enthusiasts will be nothing short of overwhelmed. Add to this a lights-out, darkened atmosphere complete with special effect lighting and non-stop entertainment courtesy of the Rocawear Stage Show, and Winnipegers are sure to fall victim to the addiction that is Sport Compact Nights.

it was a lot of fun

If your ice skateing down the street and a wheel falls off your canoe, how many pancakes will it take to top a dog house?

None, because ice cream has no bones.
