I just found a wastegate and no i don't want to boost 25 i need it stock for now so i will replae the wastegate and see if it fixes my problem.

I hope that wasn't focused towards me because i don't by any means wish to boost some stupid amount... just run it stock for awile

Ok, for those who aren't catching the e-sarcasm I will clear this up a little. Matt was getting horrible fuel cut in the DSM. The oh so reliable DSM boost gauge was telling him that he was getting fuel cut at only 7 psi so, we swapped in an aftermarket boost gauge and first gear spiked to 20 psi then held steady at 18 then in second gear the boost gauge ran all the way to 25 psi which is where he started getting fuel cut. According to the OEM gauge he was at 7 psi when this happened. And now we have the answer of bad wastegate. He is getting a new one to run the factory boost level (whatever the hell it is...I've heard 6 9 and 12) which is what he wants.
The whole thread is filled with sarcasm and it appears that not too many people are catching it.

stock turbo 25psi? I remember when I had my dsm 17psi was pushing it.

The Whinnning isnt that bad.
coughs...."KABOOM" is what Id be worried about.I would assume it is whinning for the same reason most transmissions do when they hit that sort of "I've been beat the hell out of for the first 100,000 miles of my life and now my time has come to spew tranny fluid and metal shavings all over the open road."

ohh icic i'm going to send it out to shep eventually and get a spare tranny but do you think it is the tranny it does have a 4th gear grind
