I sent in all that information through another email to yahoo cust. service, But the fact that someone called me is freaking me the fuck out and Ive reset passwords everywhere else. I dont understand how someone could have reset my password unless they knew my info or someone had some program on my computer like "Netbus" from back in the day. I have a firewall and virus and spyware blocker / remover. I do have a computer at work that i get onto ebay and yahoo with and Im thinking i left it logged in and someone came on my comp and changed it. Thats the only thing that makes any sense to me right now...

Hmm., other than work, have you used any other computers? Like a friend of a friends computer? Maybe they have a keylogger and or what not.

Both sites should be able to check the IP address of the computer that logged into the accounts shouldn't they?

You'd think so, but both are highly used, so it may take awhile to look that stuff up.. Or else, with that phone call, it could be someone who found out your info. and is playing a nasty prank too...
          either way it would suck..

Contact your bank asap and let them know about that, just in case your savings or checking account get jacked also.

how does it happen? People hack accounts all day, every day. You were one of the unfortunate who got their account jacked. Like others have said, contact your back, credit cards, credit bureau, anyone you can think...sounds like you are in the early stages of identity theft to me.

I got a call from ebay last night after the many anonymous phone calls from the pricks who stole my account. The ebay guy told me that my phone number was changed and that it was there policy to call the old phone number to make sure it wasnt being stolen. Well he was on with the people who stole my account on the online chat as he was speaking to me. He got a phone number from them. Its a cell phone that can only be traced by police. I contacted my bank and Credit card and next will be the bureau and Im going to make sure that they get busted. Apparently I was phished with an ebay email that said that one of my listings was comprimised or something like that. Well of course like an idiot i followed the link im guessing and logged into the ebay login (which wasnt really the real ebay login) and thats how it was stolen. As protective and cautious as i am, somehow I got scammed like a fool. I feel like a dumbass because I told myself something like that would never happen to me and I would never let it happen. Well I shoulda shut my mouth....

if i were everybody i'd make sure that your ebay account is set up to email you a notification with any listing or other activity... I just finished removing 25 listings from my account... trying to get live chat to come up but read on another forum they have been having problems with fake postings on people that havn't entered in passwords through email....

I know i would never do that I am a web application developer and know better than that.....

non of my personal info was change but i'm busy changing all passwords now that have anything to do with money and changed email passwords

THIS IS NOT JUST HAPPENING WITH PEOPLE THAT TYPE IN THEIR PASSWORDS SOMEONE MUST HAVE FIGURED OUT A FLAW IN EBAY SECURITY TO POST BOGUS SALES
