I Lost My Title!!! :(

Well this is kind of serious to me anyways... I just sold my car and now i cant find my title.... The kid didnt pay me all of the money right away so i said i would keep the title until he had the rest of the money. So now i cannot find the title. What do i do next if i cannot find it?>?

cant u just go get a new title at the dmv or something like that

go apply at the DMV for a lost title. Youll get it in probably 4-6 weeks.

Even if it does, I believe you can go there with this person and request to have the new title switched to his name.

last I checked that only works in Bismarck, as when you register a new vehicle in fargo the title is mailed to you from bismarck, the Fargo DMV doesnt print out any titles.

You can get duplicate titles printed on the spot at the DMV in Fargo (I-29 frontage road). I did this just a couple weeks ago. It only takes a couple minutes.

yes in GF also. it was done for the title on one off my 240's by the previous owner. on the spot same day.

I'm positive you can get it printed on the spot in Fargo...

It's just a small fee too which was nice..
