Maybe YOU have a writing problem because I can't figure out what you're trying to say. What does you saying you don't get pulled over because you have a liscense to pack heat have to do with the cops profiling a ricer car?

I'm gonna guess that you are trying to say that since you have a truck, you don't get pulled over as much as you did with an import car. I have no clue what that has to do with guns though.

If i were a cop, i most definately wouldn't pull someone over if they had a permit to carry......they could be really dangerous.....alot more dangerous than the people who don't have a permit to carry, because criminals wouldn't carrry a weapon without a permit.

Almost didn't catch the sarcasm there and was about to spout about how CC permit holding citizens are statistically some of the most law abiding people in the nation.

Wrong. Most cops carry 9mm's, wussy ass rounds compared to a .45, .40, 10mm, .357mag, .44mag, etc... Also statistics have shown police are HORRIBLE in gunfights, they miss like 90% of shots fired in real life shooting situations. Sure it's still probably a non issue, but the police for the most part are no better with a gun than Joe Schmoe.

I don't know about fargo or bismarck, but I've read on the Minot Police department's website that Officer's in Minot are ONLY allowed to carry 9mm or .45ACP/AUTO, in semi automatic, of reputable manufacture. Meaning .357, .40, .44, and 10mm are not allowed by the Minot PD.

Furthermore as to your post, don't be so quick to label a 9mm a pussy gun. Perhaps they are smaller and have less "stopping power", but please remember that a .22 if placed properly is a lethal round.

I speak from personal experience when I say this, but I personally went from carrying a Walther P99 .40 to a P99 9mm because of the larger mag capacity, the more affordable ammo(winchester white box in 9mm is almost half the cost of .40), and overall it's a smaller frame which is easier to conceal.

Furthermore the "stopping power" of a round is not calculated merely by velocity or caliber. It depends on the trauma caused by the round. That is, to say that a .40 FMJ is deadlier than a 9mm JHP would be a false statement. Full metal jacketed rounds are designed more or less to go through objects, in modern ammunition FMJ is most commonly used for target rounds, and in LE/military situations for armor piercing rounds.

Jacketed hollow points on the other hand are designed to mushroom, which will cause a lot more trauma than the FMJ round.

Most cops are trained to be just as lethal with a .22 as with a 9mm, .40, .45, or any larger bore weapon. The emphasis is not on caliber or muzzle velocity, or even weight(grain). Sure most agencies have standards and requirements/recommendations. However when ANY law enforcement agent is trained, be it border patrol, city, county, state, or federal, the emphasis is not on the weapon or cartridge itself. The ephasis is on SHOT PLACEMENT.

You can shoot someone in the leg with a 12 gauge, most damage it can do, sever the limb, they can bleed out if medical treatment is not received in time, however, they would still have time to shoot back.

If you shoot someone in the upper spine(between the shoulders and the base of the skull) with a .22, you can paralyze them from the neck down and would have no ability to shoot back.

Caliber does not matter, shot placement does.

What good is going to come from you carrying a gun around???.

Obviously you choose to live the life you live, and the only person who forces you to make choices in your life is yourself. Also you are the only person that can put yourself in a situation where you feel a gun is beneficial.

Personally I would not put myself in that situation. If I were I would do something positive to transform my lifestyle to make it a non issue in my life.

I think I worded that wrong as I look at it. What I meant was first off, yes many police departments are being smart and switching to .40's and .45's rather than the 9mm rounds. I meant that the police were usually outgunned fairly easily because almost anything better than a rock can stop you easier than a 9mm round. I wasn't even considering FMJ rounds because honestly who carries FMJ's for self defense? You'd be retarded to NOT carry hollow points for personal protection.

Shot placement, yeah thats all that matters, and for the most part police (and people in general) suck at shot placement when a shootout occurs. You could kill a bear with a pellet gun if you shot it in the eye, but do you honestly think you'd have the time/balls to hold up, stop, aim, and shoot the bear in the eye as it was chasing you down? No. Do you honestly think police officers have enough time to stop, aim at someones head/spine, and shoot? No. What happens is a confrontation occurs and they make a split second decision to shoot. If it were me in their shoes I'd want to make damn sure that the rounds I was shooting would have stopping power. I've seen pictures of people that were shot IN THE FACE with a 9mm round and it lodged right below their nose and they survived. That wouldn't happen with a .40, .22, .357mag, .44mag, .50, etc.

That basically is what I was trying to say.

Most law inforcement agencies and the military do not train to shoot at the head. It is harder to hit, no matter the conditions.

so with your logic.... you think that everyone that has a permit to carry is above the law? well.... then i would have to say going by your logic that everyone get a permit to carry:icon_joker:
and thanks for moving it to "run your mouth" Wes.. i was just going to ask someone to do it 😄
Not my logic, your fucking logic from your fucking post where you fucking said that cops think twice about pulling you over.

Reading comprehension, you should try it sometime.

well.... cops quit bugging me ever since i obtained a license to carry... they usualy think twice about pulling you over for stupid shit.... and i usualy do carry..... at least in my car 😄
According to you the cops are started shaking in their boots as soon as you got a permit, so again please explain why???

Do you need protection from the drug dealers or the cops, or both?
What happens if you get pulled over for "stupid shit" now that you carry? Are you going to bring the fury or what?

                                      e-fighting FTL...............

and just to backup parker on the whole "stupid shit" thing...

I was there with the scanner at the time...the cops were trying to find some reason to pull a guy over...they seemed to be brainstorming on anything they could do it with. Yes, pullin him over right after there was a blizzard last year because his licience plate "was partially covered by snow" was brought up. Whether they actually did pull him over for that reason is unknown...

that's what happened in a nutshell
