  • 2012 PowerCruise at BIR
    C ChrisNelson

    Hey Powercruiser’s

The Powercruise website has just been updated with the latest info including the Powercruise USA#2 Poster and Flyers for download as well as the downloadable printable Powercruise Entry Form. The online form with credit card payment setup will be just a few more days away but in the meantime all the info and links are there for you to share.

We have plenty of payment options but if you prefer you can still download and print the form, complete it, scan it and send it back to us in an e-mail with your credit card details.

The website is at www.powercruise.com so right after you finish freezing over there get the cars sorted cause its gunna be a big one.

And a big thanks goes out to everyone who came to Powercruise last year. Your kind words of support, suggestions and offers to help spread the word were all taken on board as you will see in the changes and were much appreciated so I hope by bringing Powercruise back to BIR in 2012 you accept this as my personal thanks and may the horsepower gods be with you…but not enough so you can get round ME

    Catch Ya Cruisin….

    Gup

I went last year for just one day, and when I went home that night I knew I absolutely HAD to go back! I came back to Brainerd Sunday morning and drove my Z on the track for the cruise and it was the most fun I've had at a racing event in my life!

Here's a video I made from last year's events. I believe there is even some footage of me driving my Z on the road course:

Got the flyer scanned in today, here it is:

  • Bemidji Ojibwe Rally Race Canceled...
    C ChrisNelson

Ever since the 2009 Ojibwe forest pro rally we knew the local event was doomed because the national organization changed and the big names that everybody came out for (Ken Block, Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra) announced they would not be coming back to our small town event anymore.

This year the Land 'O Lakes SCCA division only received 9 team entries to the event (Last year there were over 30) and it was canceled for 2011. This event was scheduled to be held next weekend. Maybe there will be an event in 2012, but who knows. Go here for updates:

**Our car show is a mere 2 weeks away!! **

Get your projects finished, bust out the car wax and get ready for the largest sport and modified automotive event in northern Minnesota!

Here are a few samples of some of the vehicles that are pre-registered to attend the event, and there are lots more where this came from!

    General Admission: $4
    Car Show Entry: $15
    Car Stereo SPL Competition: $2
3 Runs on the Mobile Dyno: $80

At the door registration starts Saturday night at 6pm. Bring your car early to get it cleaned up and set up your display. Leave it locked up over night and come early for a great day of shiny cars and loud engines!

I thought the show was a great success! Everything that was supposed to happen happened - models, cars, trucks, music, spectators = win.

The guys at Tintmasters do not make money on this event, they do it for the love of the sport/community so you haters, go ahead and hate because you don't have anything to show for, that is as impressive as this huge show TM puts on every year.

How about instead of complaining for the sake of complaining, suggest what could have been done differently in order to give good feedback for next year's event.

So what if the Lambo was stock - it was, in stock form, way more badass than a lot of the modified cars at the show. The NSX had a ton of awesome work done to it and I personally thought it was great, but I've always been a sucker for the NSX as a car in general!

I loved the lineup of Civics in the middle, they were all built so differently, and the skill to do such nice wire tucks was obvious! I personally liked the valve cover with the graffiti and carbon fiber TB stacks! That was awesome.

Something that I think would make this show better is if our car clubs would step it up for next year like we did for the 2008 show. I think the independent energy and creativity that WE (all clubs) brought last year really made it a lot of fun to be a part of. This year it was not as personal feeling because there were no displays.

EXCEPT OF COURSE FOR PLAYTIME! Holy crap you guys rocked the show - your display, bikes and cars were out of control! I loved them all! 🙂

What Size are the Kicker Shirts I am interested in those thanks

Sorry, like I initially wrote, I don't want to split this stuff up very much. If you want to buy a bunch of it and sell it singly, great! 🙂

All of the clothes go together as a package. 3 shirts and a hat for $20 + shipping.

The sizes of the shirts are:
    Pink: L
    White: L
    White in bag: XL

Also, I made an error with my math! It's a total of $205 for all the parts added up, and if you want it all I will sell it for $190 shipped.
