If west fargo/fargo didn't have the stupid noise ordinance, I would try to do a drift "festival" like all star bash in cali. Where you can drift all day/night/day. But the ordinance prevents anything like that.

To be honest if I can get people interested in just spectating from this site id be happy. If I get drivers that is an extra bonus!

An autox/drift event could be in the cards, but I want to make sure that the drifters get enough seat time if they have to travel 4+ hours to an event. What do you drive?

Yep

Blake those guys are all people I have met and befriended over the years. They some of them have verbally committed to come. I will be talking to dan carey soon to see what his schedule is like so we can try to plan different weekends.

So here is how the event would be run: 60$ entry fee(any money made will go towards mor events) there would be a driver cap at 20-25 drivers, which will allow for plenty of seat time for each driver. There would be 2 run groups, beginner and advanced. The beginner run group will be made out of drivers that are looking to try it out. The advanced run group will have drivers with a season or 2 of experiance, and caged/tandem drivers will be in that group. Each run group will go for 30 min and then switch, approximatly 8 hours of track time for the day. For the beginners there will be a few advanced drivers to help them if they are having issues with anything.

There will be tandem, but all tandem drivers will have a 4 point cage with door bars, and will have to be comfortable with who they are driving against.

If time allows at the end of the day we can have a fun competition of some sort!

Well the first event will either be just cones or an beginner and advanced course. And bubba I will have a running car next year.

Sponsors are still up in the air. I am trying to make sure this will be worth it for sponsors. It isn't exactly cheap. Costs for lot rental, insurance, barriers/cones, ect get spendy. But I think if I can get 1 successful event the rest could be self funding if need be.

our goal is to gain awarness for the sport in ND. As well as cater to people that want to try it but don't want to travel. As most of you know I started on the street. But I no longer support that at all. So in turn we are trying to provide a legal and safe enviroment for people to learn.

Would you try it if you didn’t have to travel? Would you come spectate?

We are working on some local events for next season. I have been talking to some of the South Dakota and Minnesota drivers and they will be coming to drive as well.

I am just trying to gauge some local interest to see if there is anyone else that would jump on board.
