Why I'm not voting for "W" (Resume)Tjamz, bush won fair and square period

WRX will be sold....cobalts are kinda cool, but it's only got a M45 blower so it's almost maxed out
-
Presidential Electiongood thread tjamz, wish I would have thought about it. Ya bush is dumb, but I'm prolife and Kerry always changes his story.

spoolude...wat's up with using assult, invasion, combat?
Are everybody in these clubs planning to hurt people?

spoolude...who owns the white evo with the christian fish symbol on the back, has a few mods looks like too
-
CMT Street Racing Documentaryso why exactly is this on country music television? They did slip a country song in there I guess.
-
spoolude...I'm pretty sure an evo is capableof mid 13's or better? With equal drivers, I could see the evo winning easily. Quick somebody with an evo chime in...
wait but which car is more comfortable, better mpg (holy crap 31 mpg for a gs-t), or burns longer?
-
spoolude...ok, cool after I posted that I was like hmm this dude might get mad, but I guess they do rear to the back cylinder head as a rear one
-
spoolude...so if you're behind your 6g72 wouldn't you be like next to one of your front fenders?

Well a 99 Type SH Prelude weighs 3042 lbs according to Honda.com. According to Cars.com a 99 GS-T Coupe weighs 2,970 lobs.So 72 pound weight difference... not much; it would matter more if your fat or not in terms of weight.
Aerodynamics really doesn't play a large factor in who would win a race when there is 10hp difference. Nobody races up to 150 mph or whatever, the race is usually long over by 100-120mph.
Even if you were able to keep the rev's in vtec's activation range, doesn't get past the fact that the DSM is going to continue to boost the entire race...
If you were racing from a stop, and it was an AWD DSM there would be no race. From a roll, it might be more interesting, but I still would put money on the DSM winning.
According to Honda-Acura.net the Type SH Prelude has 20% Drivetrain loss.
ALSO i would be very interested in to seeing where this 222hp stat came from. Honda.com lists the Type SH as 200hp. Hondatech and Honda-Acura both have open threads about how it was overrated, and 190hp is much more realistic.
Cars.com lists the Type SH as 200hp 2.2l I-4.
So 222? where did this extra 22hp come from? your intake?

20% drivetrain loss on 200hp is 40hp. 160whp (the horsepower put to the wheels). There are multiple dynographs to show 157 whp is what they make stock.
Now take in to consideration a FWD turbo DSM. 210bhp, factor in 11% drivetrain loss, 186.79whp.
That is considerably more then 157hp. Add in a boost controller for the "one" mod and its complete ownage.
YES i am the best bench racer ever.
hmm. 11% drivetrain loss?
never said 222
and ya, we've beat stick turbo dsms several times, don't think lost to a stock one yet
as far aerodynamics... the force on the car quadruples when the speed doubles,
I've gotten spanked by trucks for example bad and cought them and put 5-6 cars on them at 110, Altho that's a much exaggerated example
and ya, you'd eat an sh everywhere

Crazy Video!ya, well making the trans am drive a bit behind the go ped and then speeding it up makes both vehticles look faster and the video legit. I thought it was real the first time I saw it.
-
spoolude...I think a prelude has a very decent shot at taking down a turbo dsm. My brother has done it a bunch of times. According to a few people at preludeonline.com they have hit 147-148 mph stock. As far as powerband, the prelude will fall back into vtec on every shift so that should help. It's probibly more aerodynamic too. As far as non-turbo eclipses, I've beaten a few with my intrepid.
-
Crazy Video! It's fake, the video is sped up and the trans am isn't floored.

99 acura clfactory style and "type R" which ain't never happening
