    sad, I just moved out of fargo a few months ago. Ive got an 89 Z31 thats come a long way, its still up there so I will be back the first wknd in may to get it if youd like to meet up?

    I dont post on here much anymore, just kinda lurk every once in a blue moon.

    Well well well...I was bored on teh interweb and figured id let my fargo buddies know whats been up with the Z three one. Its currently on jackstands again haha, was running it with 10 pounds of boost on the auto trans, it finally gave. The transmission was slipping even before it was built up so im not suprised, I sent the trans off to New jersey to a place called "Level ten performance" They are going to build it up for me so I can put more power down, ive recently aquired a Holset HX35, 460cc injectors, soon going to be getting my NIStune. Just stock piling for my next go at it, im interested to see what im going to be able to do with it in the quarter mile once I get it down to branson in June. Im going to be back in fargo (I come back periodically for visits) in march 16th-25th...the trans will be back in and the car will be running around once more by then (by next week actually) so I may or may not drive the Z depending on weather and if I want to deal with riding in it for 9-10 hours.

    Hello everyone! Bet ya thought I was gone for good eh? SORRY! lol. Yea I lurk every now and again. Life is meh here in Kansas city, still new but getting to know some people and a bit of the scene. Everyone I work with has some sort of badass project or car so its pretty cool. The Z has been performing greatly and to all of my expectations...hooray for finally being able to do burnouts! Im going to be back in town first week of december with my DD, the seville. I had the windows tinted 20% all around, going for a bit of VIP look, very subtle mods, I am next going to get a set of wheels and calling it good from there on...then maybe if I get ambitious...a stupid loud sound system. The only people I see down here driving these types of vehicles though...are either mexican...or african...hmm...Kind of fuels my addiction to make my cadilac look like a different type of person drives it...then BAM! handi-capable white boi and a WTF?! look on their face lol...I guess just to be different. Anyway, thats all for now, just thought id say hey and let ya know how it goes in the "big city"...hehe.

    hmm, wouldnt I be able to hear the leak though? I MIGHT know what I have to do, but I just cant see how any air could escape from how tight the coupler is, but I could put a T-bolt clamp over it though and see what happens.

    Means that a stock Z31 turbo is normally around 8-9psi and is normally what everyone runs, Im only curious as to why mine is at 4. I will probably just end up getting a controller and bringing it up to where I want it. I was just wondering if there was something I hadnt checked yet. No boost solonoid on this car...so perhaps it is in its own way "unhappy" and I am just going to manually bring it up anyway.

    So my turbo at full boost is about 4psi, Normal operating boost is at about 8 or 9psi. Does anyone have a manual boost controller and is pretty handy with it and could help me within the next couple days? All vac lines are hooked up on it and its operating as it should, so it cant be in "limp mode", just low boost (could have been from when it was rebuilt) and id like it to be up more. As far as I know and what I could tell, my boost gauge is working normally.

    either a person or a recomended shop even?

    The rich life was just too much for me, I sold all my lambo's and ferraris and corvettes just so I could finish my Z31 and rub it in everyones face that I finally turbo'd it.

    Jason - Yes, faster than what im use to haha, and of course...its not NEAR as fast as yours.

    Im just happy its done haha. As for street legals, I wont be here sadly...moving to kansas city the 23rd 😛

    So its finally done, ive been enjoying boost for the past two days and I am loving every second of it 🙂 its only at 4psi, but I will turn it up with time, Im thinking at about 8 or 9psi I should have a pretty quick car.

    dallas...he wasnt talking about a thunderchicken...he was talking about some people he knew that swapped in a 2.3 turbo (coulda been out of a thunderchicken as well?) into a 4x4 ranger, same concept as what you and your dad may do, hes just throwing a realistic situation at you.

    sometimes its easier to just build the car that already has the engine in it btw...pulling engines and building them sucks...after all the money, blood, and sweat, oh and stress because it isnt working right! though it is definately worth it to see the hash and slash stitched together monster youve created, run great and be alive. you could just be in for more of a long haul than you are thinking...its definately more than using zip-ties to put on led's hahahahaha.
