Your vote countsThe problem I see is that there is no reasoning support for either sides of a position in question here. When we talk about the 1/2 cent sales tax, why are you against or for it? Talking about Obamacare, why do you feel that we need it, or are against it? There will always be two sides to a story, and the majority will always win. That is the unfortunate part of politics. If decisions were made in a rational timely manner, we would all be happy with the outcomes of voting. It is this where education needs to come in, and have voters decide based on being fully educated on the topic at stake. Yes we need more people to vote, but not because you want more people to vote for your position, but because they should be voting for their own beliefs.
That said, I will start with the sales tax. Yes, it appears that we have funding to get things done. But the biggest question that every citizen of this metro area has the same underling concern... WHERE is our flood protection??? Every year that goes by without actually getting a diversion or flood wall built creates risk associated with severe flooding in the spring. We can not rely on the federal government paying for a portion of the flood protection that is needed. History shows that they only step in at the very last minute, if not when it is too late. Besides, the federal government is finally cutting their spending to try and get their deficit in check. How do we know that any potential flood funding won't be there tomorrow? The 1/2 cent sales tax will help provide added monetary resources to get the project finished, without relying on government.

short term shop rental ?Hi Nick,
I see you are interested in hoist time. Although I have not heard of a shop in town that does that, you might be more inclined to actually pay a shop to R&R the trans for you. The second shop we rent for overflow costs us $700 a month, plus the $3,500 hoists (2) that we installed, and the utilities. IMHO, you must have a lot of work to do in order to make it worth it. If you do, maybe you should look into actually running your own repair shop. It is a very tough business to run with how competitive the businesses are. Goodluck on your search!

West Fargo Car ClinicP.S. If we were to 'rent' out our hoists, it'd be around $100 an hour, if not more in order to cover the extra insurance costs.

Tempting, but wish it was Intel. Nice rig though.Thanks. I just didn't see the need to spend 50% more for a non-noticeable increase. Now if the speeds drastically increased for very little or the same, I certainly would have gone Sandy-Bridge. Bulldozer has so much potential, just wish I can hang onto it as it is my first build in 10 years.

Selling my new computer I just built. Bills came piling in, which this is the first thing that comes to mind for me to sell. I have it listed here, please don't hesitate to ask questions.

Asking $1500. Very fast and a lot of potential. Built it for school, but easily can expand to do more by having a better video card and bigger power supply.

I remember reading it was due to the high cost of replacement parts compared to just buying a brand new TV.I can see that. TV's have come down so much in price it is difficult to provide a service for expensive parts.

Have you been by there recently? He's no longer in business as of a couple months ago.I noticed that when I was looking for local places for parts. The website says it is closed. Sad to see such a historic business close after all these years. I figured it was due to retirement and the economy.

did u ever think that the car has a turbo'd b series in it already and he just needs a new short block for it?Yep, but also that most people that are looking for this motor are civic owners who are doing a swap, but this is the statement that should have occurrd after my simple question.

Why not spend $5k on a k swap that would get it's ass kicked by a turbo d series. Power potential, LOL :icon_puke_r:I loved the daily drivability of my RSX when I had it. After spending years repairing peoples problems with modifying cars, I'm all about staying as OE as possible. Anything and everything has potential. If an aged B-series is what he wants, then by all means go for it. It was just a question/suggestion, not a pissing contest.
