Heres something, not sure how it would work but the cars are suppose to be street legal, right? We take the cars that have insurance, current tabs, and a dot approved tire (limited size maybe?), and take these cars on a 20 to 30 mile drive see if they make it. Allow for a short cool down, make one run, to see were they land in the standings. Then set up the bracket and do the runs for the winner. O and the last time the cars are able to be touch is before the 20 to 30 mile run. After that any hoods opened or any programing done will disqualify the car and driver! I would say tire pressure would be ok to change but that would be about all you could change once they are started.
