Hey all, just thought I'd post some new pictures of my civic since I just got my new rim and tire set up put on at Tintmasters! I got this car brand new 2 years ago and I love it. Way more reliable and comfortable compared to my talon. Although it isn't as fast, everything else makes up for it.
Not a whole lot as far as mods yet but I'll list what I have done:
-17x8 MB Weapon Wheels 42mm offset
-235/45/17 nitto nt555 tires (very sticky, love these tires)
-home made ram air intake to a k&n filter
-titanium lugs
-red ambient lighting inside the car
-red alacantra suede shift boot
-ddm tuning 4300k hid kit
-nokya yellow drls
-carbon fiber roof spoiler
-shifter cable and base bushings
-skunk2 short shifter
I think the new tires and rims set the car off and give it a very aggressive look and I love the way the 235's fill the wheel well. I just detailed my car before this and it was my first time trying out all the new 3M stuff I bought and i really like their products so far. Hondata is the next plan for the Si. Hope you guys like it! Enjoy

Also, a big thanks to Jason at Tintmasters for all his help and suggestions on tires. Couldn't be happier with my set up!
Car looks amazing! It's nice to see it out in the sunlight for some pics instead of seeing it in the shop. Great work guys!

Stock besides a k&n filter. Loved every second of the racing but I was nervous as it was my first time. Should have a 14 second pass up by the next street legal day
price dropped to 6000 if anyone is still interested...tell your friends!
This may not sell on here but I suppose it is good to get the word out. Thanks guys
I would like to try and sell my car again. I tried last summer but the car just was not in the best shape for a sale. I decided I should rebuilt what I need to fix and then I can decide what I feel about the car after that. As you will see in the list of modifications you will notice that the turbo, wastegate, o2 housing, downpipe, exhaust, and intake are all brand new. I had all the parts installed at our top shop in town and they have helped me a ton with this car by getting parts and leading me in the right direction as to what works well and what not. The car was done over xmas break and I got to put a couple miles on it while I was back home. The car was garaged all year and started on a weekly base, and a brand new battery added to the car while I was gone. Now I have been back home since the middle of may and have been driving it since then and it has felt like a whole new car. The new turbo rips and the sound of everything is amazing. I have a decent tune on it right now and it pulls hard. The boost could easily be upped from the stock level and the tune could be more aggressive. I really like the car but I can’ t keep it, I need something bigger and with 4 doors before I move back to St. Louis at the start of September.
All parts with a * after them are parts I have added within the last 2 years and haven’t seen many miles as the car isn’t driven in the winter.
Things that need to be mentioned:
I am the 2nd owner of this car and have fixed a lot of things that were over looked by the previous owner. I am very confident in this car now. And it is a 95 and it may be a little rough around the edges but people in this community can understand that. It is a DSM and I’ve put a lot of work in this car but I have treated it right. I enjoy a nice pull every now and then but I take great care of it. It gets a full wash and detail every other week, inside and out. I clean the engine bay once every 2 weeks too.
The antilock light is on but I have been told it is not an issue. The horn does not work but I just haven’t taken the time to check the wires or anything for that. I would assume it is a simple fix. There is a small dent in the driver side door. It conflicts with the window rolling up a little but it still rolls up fine, it just needs to be guided sometimes. It’s a lot easier to do with the door open and it isn’t a big deal for me.
Car’s Mileage is currently 88,xxx but will change as I DD the car.
I have a box of misc. things I can include with the car. Just random things I have gathered over my time with this car.

Nice to see you guys on here. I've bought plenty of parts for my dsm from you guys. Keep up the good work and great prices!

AFCs...lolz, i didn't realize anyone still had those.....
ya ya ya...on the car when I bought it. I need to update I know
So who knows how much help I'll get on here, but I wanted to toss it out there anyways knowing there are plenty of guys on here who are or were in the DSM game. I just finished my new setup consisting of a fp 20g 6sl2, sls external dump o2 housing, tial 38mm wg, apexi dp, and apexi cb. I just need to get the fp 4 inch intake for finish it off. It feels pretty good when I got to drive it over christmas break, but it definately needs some tuning. The car is sitting all winter until im back in town after hockey. So here's the question, what would be a good setup to have for tuning. I already have 660's, aeromotive afpr, wally 255, datalogger and s-afc. I need to get new gauges and I will get a boost, egt, water temp, and aem wideband im thinking. I could tune with the datalogger, wideband, and afc, but my datalogger is brutal and I can never get it to work right. I know DSM Link is best but that is really expensive for me at the moment. I was thinking about buying a eprom ecu already setup with a chip from here.
http://www.dsmchips.com/2g.html
Its a little expensive too but if my ecu is eprom I could just get it socketed and get the chip and im set. Now what I like about this setup is that I can have a good base tune with the chip and then the wideband and afc will always be there for any fine adjustments I would have to make. Let me know what everyone thinks.

Where did you go to High School? Did you get drafted or are you trying out?
I went to high school at Fargo North. Graduated in 07. I played last year for the jets, shitty I know but for my first season of jr. hockey it was ok. I was actually planning on playing with the force but it ended up not working out and my age kinda screwed me. I have a spot playing for st. louis this year and hopefully getting a D-1 Scholarship after the season. St. Cloud state is going to be keeping tabs with me this year so I suppose we will see what happens.
Anyways onto the car ha, it's at tintmasters and they are going to send off my 20g to see if it can be rebuilt and if not I think I'm going to get the same one. I mean its not too laggy for me and it could easily get me to a 350hp goal. I would go bigger like say a 50 trim but at the moment my injectors arent big enough and I would have to upgrade over my datalogger afc combo. The other things I have listed I would like to upgrade to first, then maybe a bigger turbo wouldnt be out of the question.

Sorry to go off topic but who u playin for in st. Louis?
St. Louis Bandits of the NAHL
Yeah it seem like a lot of guys have had success with Megan Racing but I'm not set on exhaust and downpipe yet.
I'd go bigger turbo wise but I want to max out the setup I plan to build and see what I can push with the 20g and if I want to keep going with the car I will go bigger. I believe it will be a great setup with the 20g and everything I plan to do.
Keep the suggestions coming guys and if you do happen to have some parts that could help with the build let me know!
Well I figured I should post up my car troubles here and give everyone a good laugh. Save all your "get rid of it, its a dsm" comments though hah. I've heard all of them far too many times. Maybe they are right but when it runs it really rips plus I suppose this just means I have to upgrade everything. Onto the wreckage:
Loading it up

And the cause of all this

I was looking for boost leaks and I thought the shaftplay was a little more than usual but didnt know for sure. Well I found out soon after when it finally took a shit on me. Limped it home to find this. The sounds it made were enough to make me cringe ha. I'm not all that pissed tho because I'm looking forward to what I'm going to upgrade to. I'm leaving to St. Louis for hockey this year but when I get home this thing will be a monster. Anyways here's the plans.
-Rebuilt or new 20g turbo so I dont have to change my engine management right away
-Punishment 38mm atmospheric dump o2 housing
-Tial 38mm wastegate
-Megan or Apexi downpipe
-Megan or Apexi Catback
-some sort of methanol injection after all of that
Ok, well I totally forgot that I lost my wallet the other day so I had to cancel my debt card so I would assume that would knock out my paypal account too. If you don't mind waiting a few days I would definately take those from ya.
Ok first of all I'm looking for some 3 inch exhaust piping. I got a new muffler and I need some piping to fab it up to where I like it before I get it all welded up so if anybody has some scraps they are willing to part that would be great. Let me know what you got.
Also, may be a shot in the dark but if anyone has a upper timing belt cover, stock or aftermarket upper 'S' intercooler pipe, and spark plug cover they have laying and would like to give me a deal on let me know.
All parts would be for my talon of course:icon_salut:. Thanks
DrifterExtreme;218676 wrote:
so you just need the muffler replaced with this new one? nothing special right?lmk i can prolly help ya out.
Ya that's all I need shouldn't be too extensive.
Ok I have a new N1 coming in tomorrow to replace my rusted out pile of a muffler I have on my car now. I can pretty much fit my fist in it, nice right. I need to know which places will work on my exhaust because there isn't a cat on my 3 inch system. I don't know if it will be a big deal or what because all I need done is just cut off old muffler and replace with new. Which places have you guys had good experience with and what not. I'm sure if I find the right place it wouldnt take very long and I could just sit there and wait for them to get it welded up. I kinda searched around on here but couldn't find the answers referring to work on cars without cats. Thanks and tell me what you guys think!
Ok so since the roads are starting to get nice again I have the talon out. I've been rollin with the unpainted 2gb look for too long and I'm deciding where I should get my bumper painted at. Just lookin for some input from you guys and where you've had good experiences and who does good work and what kind of prices to expect. Thanks guys
Tyler
ya that was bad news. the rink was dead silent on the vids i watched. Such a freak accident. Good thing he had enough in him to get over to the bench to the trainers. they said he lost 5 units of blood and the body holds only 10.
nice 1gs guys. It's nice to see some more dsms on here
