Leaving you in the dark was the idea. Since you seem to enjoy doing it to your customers I figured it was the least I could do.

I will make it perfectly clear and take pictures of my observations when I have time. I am free to make any comments I please about the manifold. Its not bad by any means, but there are things that bother me. If you are so experienced building 50+ manifolds like you said, I would have expected you to know better. Again im a fool for making such assumptions.

And just so everybody knows my 100% out of pocket cost for this:
Manifold Material Payment: $258
Gas to and From Fargo: $65
Bus tickets to and from Fargo: $90
Head Flange:100
Waste Gate flange: $25
Payment to Max for getting the manifold to me: $100 (this is my choice of course and can be omitted based on individual opinion)
Shipping costs: $40
Head flange resurfacing: $25

Total:$603

Yes, still a bargain for a manifold but MY cost of this product is much more than $250
I am omitting all the other complications that his lateness has caused me which also include, but not limited, to loss of money.

I finally have the manifold in my possession now. Thanks to Max. The manifold is OK, nothing more than that. It looks good to the untrained eye but there are a hand full of issues. It will get the job done though. I should have it back from the machine shop by Saturday since the head flanged needs to be resurfaced badly. I'll have to take it down about 4-5mm to get it flat.

I think im finally getting the manifold. The fact that I had to pay somebody to get on Matt's ass to finish the shit shows how Matt just doesn't give a fuck unless there is somebody in front of him waiting.

The manifold LOOKS good, but Matt still sucks. I will never have him do anything for me at any price again. Nor will I ever encourage my peers to give him business. Total time is 5 weeks plus shipping time. Three weeks over due date. Not acceptable by my standards.

The manifold is still not done. He isn't done with the wastegate...again. Things keep coming up and he won't finish it. He said he has a lot going on right now and is too busy to finish it.

I hate to rant over the internet but my frustration gets the better of me. He is not in front of me to vent face to face, thus the internet will have to do.

Well its Friday now. He failed to deliver manifold on wed like he said he would. Then last night he said he is coming down to the cities today for some dyno appointment and I would get it today. I've been calling him all day trying to figure out where he is, seems like his phone is off.

Im starting to get aggravated again. This is stupid. Its been over a month now.

As of tomorrow it will have been a full 4 weeks since the time i initially dropped of my car.

So.. Tomorrow? Thursday?

So... he called because he didn't know where to put the waste gate. Which obviously means its still not done.

Looks like he tried to call me a little bit ago. Wasn't by my phone so im trying to call him back.

I'll make my statements when this job is complete. He said i'd have it by tomorrow (well today really since its 2am now) so we'll see what happens.

I did the cage back in the day when my car looked like this...

I was 17 or so at the time. First cage I ever made, shitty welder, didn't know enough about what I was doing. It was made to pass Club FR Drift Day specs for tandem runs. It passes tech there, but would not pass FD tech due to the two missing weld spots. I can simply finish the weld on the two rear down tubes and it would pass FD tech. Regardless, the whole cage sucks as far as fit and finish, not going to argue with that. It stiffened up the chassis like crazy though.

I met a lot of people at hyper tek, but if i saw you again i'd probably recognize you.

I dont plan on keeping the car much longer. Once I get the turbo setup finished and tune it, its going up for sale. I'm just going to finish some little things like wiring, and some misc paint related stuff.

I missed the main thing I wanted to do with the car as of last Friday. Had a opportunity to meet with a rep from Super Street to discuss a possible photo shoot in October. Things didn't go as planned time wise, so that kinda went out the door. With that out of the way I really don't feel the need to dump anymore money and time into it. Long story behind the build but its just not what I wanted it to be. Rushed and a first time for many things. And knowing I can build a car 3X nicer the next time around makes me want to get rid of it.

My name is Max (not to be confused with fcmax). The Pink 240 is mine. Figured I should put my .02 in for the whole MGD dealio. And yes the cage is garbage. I hate it. The result of a overwhelming time crunch, lack proper equipment, and lack of experience (I was 17yrs of age at the time).
