Kerry lies again!

im sure we both have family that are previous farmers and have lived off of the sugar beet, corn industry etc crops for a long time, but to say bush seems to like the CAFTA agreement is the true reason why alot of people suffer is dumb. This season, beet havesters have had one of it's worst in a long time. But not because of bush, but because of the condition the fields are in. Hell, we're forecasted to get another full week of rain until friday and how can bush control that? when you can't harvest, a lot of people here are going to suffer and thats one of the doubts with living off a farm like budget.
No, noone has suffered from CAFTA yet, it hasn't gone through yet, I'm speaking of the future of beet farming in the valley, not the past. BUT you can thank Dorgan/Pomeroy/Conrad/Daschle/etc.... for getting a disaster bill in to help ease the stress of a bad year. When Bush campaigned in SD 2 years ago for a republican senator/congressman (I forget who he campaigned for) he basically told the farmers to tough it out when they asked for disaster relief during one of the worst droughts in SD history. Yeah, I can see why he'd be a REAL GOOD president for ND, SD, MN, ID, KA, etc... with an attitude like that -

lol good point. but local talk show hosts are the worst. when you listen to sandy buttweiler and that other dude on teh valley view point on KFGO, they have no idea what their talking about...and Ed Schultz's crew just piss me off when they talk shit about our president. man who are they to say "My only specialty is how George Bush screws america".
Have you listened to Ed's national show (890 AM out of Lisbon @ 2pm or 1080 out of Langdon)? Right now it is the fastest growing political talkshow of all time, and he is beating out Hannity in almost every market they compete in. It's actually pretty good, well, right now it's leaning HARD to the left but at least he lets anyone who wants to call his show...unscreened, unlike some others out there. I listen to Schultz (locally), Rush, Schultz (National show), then Fox News. I try for balance. I also sometimes listen to Air America via internet. -

I haven't quite figured out how you swing from being a republican to a left wing fanatic). Then Rush, then Hannity. Hannity is a pimp.

I agree...Ed is farther left than I am...I'm either a liberal republican or a conservative democrat...

I'll try to pull n20's thread back onto topic...
Kerry repeated several times in each debate about how we let Bin Laden get away at Tora Bora by outsourcing the job of capturing him to local warlord forces. Now it turns out that we had imbedded troops in those forces. whoops!
If he knew we had imbedded troops, then he was basically telling a lie. If he didn't know, then I guess he just didn't know what he was talking about. -

Cheap labor is hard to find. why not find a person in India that'll work for like 1 dollar an hour opposed to a person in america that'll work for 7 an hour making tennis shoes. You along with drake are both idiots... I didnt find the time to read through all the posts, but honestly you think this is a good thing? Not quite! Good for the company... yes. But this being good for a company isnt good for the economy. Just because a company is saving millions upon millions of dollars a year paying some poor bastard in india such a feeble amount of money to sit in a fucking shop for 12-14hrs a day and come home with enough money for a loaf of bread and a couple cups of milk for his family, doesnt mean they are putting that money back into our economy.
All you right wing sons of bitches care about is how much more money you are going to make a year. How much more your bank account is going to grow each year. Fuck that im all about helping out the ones that struggle pay check to pay check to help their family and give them what they need. All those companies are doing is taking their millions in savings and dumping it right back into more factories around the world to make and save even more money. Hell half the time the money isnt even deposited in american banks.
I remember reading an article that said we are 3+ trillion dollars in debt but there is only 666billion american dollars in circulation around the world. This is actual paper money not some electronic funds or some imaginary number in some banks computers. So yeah Vote bush keep the fucking republicans in office... allow them to keep jobs from the american people and move their companies over seas. Allow the right wings to further the damage already done to our economy. What do they care... their pockets will always be lined. I dont know a single fucking republican that knows what an over draft is... and no its not because they know how to save their money its because they dont care who's toes they step on to get to the top of the stairs... their going to get there no matter what it takes.

But it still benefits us. Keeps the prices of the products low; plus some of these 3rd world countries depend on that for a living. There was a 20/20 on it that all the people who opposed it didn't understand it's real importance.

in with which forces? The taliban or the forces that tried to take out Bin Laden? Probably both. In either case we still should not have let the Afghan forces be the ones to try and capture Bin Laden. Why did we trust the Afghan forces to do this anyway? The Taliban/Al-Qaeda were the ones responsible for 9-11 and we decided to let someone else play out the potential end game. Regardless of if we had imbedded forces in there we should have had more control over what was done, IMO. Maybe we would have missed him too, but at least we could say we tried all we could. Why, I ask, did we divert away from Bin Laden to attack Iraq? Especially w/o capturing/killing Bin Laden. In my opinion we are doing exactly as the Al-Qaeda wanted...they knew (or at least suspected) that we were eager to go to war w/ Iraq and by attacking the US they knew it would get us into war mode...noone messes with america, right? Well, once in war mode, we might as well take out our old nemesis Saddam Hussein....spreading our forces thin in the process, fighting 2 wars on 2 fronts w/ little support from the rest of the world. As soon as we had Saddam out of power it gave them a great opportunity to come into Iraq and spread their terror by capturing/killing "innocent" civilians and/or contractors. This would of course infuriate the US and cause us to spend EXTREME amounts of money to try and bring key individuals to justice....all the while deepening the debt that the US government was accruing. At this rate we will essentially be bankrupt as a nation in matter of years, we will have exhausted our borrowing ability from our allies, leaving us with a huge debt and effectively bent over the barrel when it comes to returning favors....thereby weakening the United States and making us not seem like such a Superpower/Saviour to the world. Bush has too much of a "cowboy" go it alone attitude. He's too damn stubborn (stupid?) to admit a mistake has EVER been made, and too damn determined to change his ways. I'll admit Kerry has made mistakes, he, for the most part, will own up to them, that is a sign of courage IMHO. To admit when you are wrong is a trait we should all have.

well maybe you should cause i later on said its good for the company and bad for the economy and the people. if you were the head hauncho of a major corp. ud do the same. btw, im not gonna read it all, you are the one that said Iraq and the Taliban went to war -
Thread hijacking is something your going to have to deal with... its a way of life on any forums you join. Doesnt matter where you go its always going to be there.
And with me and kirk around its probably never going to quit. I would think you would know this by now but somethings obviously have to be pointed out.
Not trying to be a dick and I appologize for jacking your thread, but im not about to waste jims space to start a new thread just to get my point across when I can just as easily keep it in a thread thats already a political topic. Just get used to being jacked... you could start a thread about Threads getting Hijacked and im sure someone would find a way to hijack it... expecially kirk.

itll all end in a week. politics talk that is. a new president will be selected and we'll all half to deal with it.

In all honesty I wouldnt move my company over seas to pay cheaper labor fees and save me money. I know I would make millions more, but I would also feel guilty for knowing the amount of jobs im taking with me and the amount of money im taking away from the economy. I guess I get that from not being born with a silver spoon in my ass.
I have paid for every car I have owned... I have paid for every peice of furniture every electronic I own. I can honestly say I have a computer tower not even the monitor, and a TV because of my parents. And you know what... they had the money to buy me all these things, but they wanted to teach me a life lesson. They wanted me to learn to buy my own things and work for what I have. I guess thats why right out of highschool I started working and now im working and in school... granted its on an apprenticeship, but ill be making more by the time im done then the average college graduate. And ill have had my job for 4years once im already done with class.
Kirk what do you do all day besides sit on your computer all day and read war stories?

BTW kirk why in the hell are you so damned right wing?

Oh, and as for thread hijacking, I at least tried to address the original post in one of my previous posts. But yeah, threads get hijacked here all the time. It doesn't hurt that threads that get hijacked and taken to the left side of the political scale are probably more tolerated due to Jim and Tuftes position on the current election....Good thing I'm not a republican, I'd probably be banned by now if I wasn't. LOL
