Because plates/registration/insurance/turn signals & brakes (actually...don't need them if you use hand signals) are required on motor vehicles. They can be pulled over for failure to stop, cutting off traffic, speeding, exhibition driving (if on the road), etc...IMO, if they take up space on the road they should have to meet the same standards as everything else on the road. Not only for other people on the road but for there own saftey. We all know what would happen in a bike and car accident. The laws should also be equally inforced on them. I can not count the number of times i have scene bike riders pedal right though a stop sign or traffic light with a cop there, I know if it was a car they would be fucked.
When I ride bike I do not go on the street unless there is no sidewalk, there are to many idiots on the road to risk my life on a pedal bike

I also try to bike on the side walk. Then I got arrested for it. My father has gotten a speeding and running a stop sign ticket on his bike. It just sucks that the police don't enforce the bike laws more thoroughly. How did you get arrested for riding your bike on the sidewalk?

Chinese Proverb? Not really, but still I ponder.
Why is that at least once a week, while riding my bike, some asshole passenger in a vehicle yells out the window to get a car?
Bicycle awarness is not what it should be. I assume it is even worse in Fargo than in the cities.
The other thing I love is seeing retards riding down the road with a bright reflective vest on, with no helmet. WHY?

I myself would prefer riding on the sidewalk. Frankly I can't keep up with traffic and I know how much it bugs me when a lane is taken up in busy traffic by some guy on a bike.

This time a cop rolled by and said something, we (of course) responded with middle fingers and riding away. Then a K-9 unit ripped my buddy Rod off his bike, so we all pretty much gave up. I was cuffed and taken to the holding tanks, then charged something like $130 for improper use of a vehicle and fleeing an officer.

They pulled the same shit yesterday evening on 32nd as iwas going home. Some of them live in the apartments right across the street from the taco johns on 32nd on the ground level.

I just read somewhere that the cities are number two, only to Portland, in having the most amount of people who commute to work, by bicycle, in the US. When you add in the fact QBP is out the cities. (Quality Bicycle Products the largest distributer of bicycle parts, nearly evershop has there 1000 page cataloug on there front counter) it seems to make sense. Eriks bike shop is a top 5 distrubuter for Specialized, and Cannondale as well and Penn cycle was/is a 1 or 2 Trek from what I understand in the US.

Sounds to me like you instigated the issues and that you were not "Arrested for just riding a bike."

Some of the parents are here on J5 Visa's working in healthcare. It's too bad that the bad apples of the group fuck the image of the rest of them.
