anyone send in a 360 yet for the 3 red flashing light probem? how long does it take to get back?

one of my buddies back at school sent his in and it took a little over a month for him to get it back.

did mine, sent it in like august 10th and got it back early sept.

how did you send it in? i did the thing on xbox.com and never got an email telling me what to do..

i just called 18004myxbox i think is the #, they send you a box to pack it in then drop it off at ups store.
take off your hd, memory cards, games

ok they sent me a box and i shipped my xbox to them.. do they tell you when its done or does it just show up one day?

yea i got mine back a after like a week and have been playing it for about a month.. but about a week ago it started flashing the lights again so im gonna send this one in too

As long as you keep a small fan blowing air over it you shouldn't have a problem at all.

a place like best buy or whatever with the "extended warranty" i think is just a bring it in and they exchange it for any reason.
The 3yr 360 warranty ONLY covers RROD failures, not other stuff.
There's an article online suggesting how you can be sure you're getting a newer revision part with a die shrink and new heat sink.
I'm still on my first 360 and haven't had any RROD problems, but i was getting error 68/69 (hard drive failure). It would cause the box to occasionally not boot but no problems playing/saving games and content.
