It is better than nothing if you were to get in any trouble for it. It is a slim chance you would even get searched, but in case you did, hang on to anything you can in case you need it.

I'm with torbs on this one, the rationalization for taking street racers cars is bunk, with the exception of stolen ones and one with stolen parts. Even tho I just finished with my DUI I agree that if its true for street racers it should be true for DUIs. The only differance that comes to mind is that taking a street racer's car is much more devastating to him because of all the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into them.

John street legal means all the parts meet or are exempt from CARB, and other emissions certification bureaus, regulations. Headers and aftermarket cats usually reduce the emissions, so would the tune as the car would run more efficiently. I thought that was you in the civic, the metal gave it away.

CARB doesn't mean shit outside of Cali. Even if a part is CARB legal, unless you pay a shop that is CARB approved to install, it looses its CARB certification.

Your talking about a civic makes no sense.

Did you read the post at all faber I believe I mentioned other emission certification programs. The talk about the civic makes sense if you have met John, he has metal in his face, thats what I was referring to.

In a street legal cobra, no problem whatsoever. Its less than 3k in parts, tune, headers, pully, full exhaust, CAI. That gets you in the neighborhood of 500 whp with an 03 or 04 cobra. Now if you switch blowers 550 without breaking a sweat. Better yet pull off the huffer and put in a Helion turbo kit and 700 whp is not unheard of, emissions legal too.

i put down 463rwhp and 478rwtq with a pulley, intake, o/r x, catback, and a tune, a ported blower, 6lb lower with a 3.2 upper will put you damn close to 550. slap a kenne bell and your at 600 upgrade your fuel once thats done 650-700 no prob. a whipple is good for 550-600 from what i have seen.

Thanks for supporting me on this matter...I agree with this, but to add to it...We should make it so if you get one DUI, then you can't ever have booze again...afterall, those drivers will never get their cars back...it's only fair is it not?

People with DUI's never learn. They will go out to the bars again and drive home, thinking they didnt drink enough to be impaired. O and i think that is fair. Based on the fact that people know the risks of street racing, or drinking and driving or what ever it may be and they still do it. So be it.
