If you choose to get a subaru, and one that is that old. It will have higher mileage. Make sure the timing belt was changed. They are a bitch and cost about 450 to be done at the dealership. Other than that you will have nothing to worry about picking an older subaru.
Whats your budget? That would help us a lot more.

Eh, just a couple grand would be the limit. Any more than that and I'd rather just keep driving the Jeep. So, the cheaper the better.
Again, I'm kind of a sucker for the Subarus lately. I'm afraid to go look at them because I could see myself dropping a bit more on one of those.

Yeah I hear ya. But I dont really know If you would be able to find one for a couple grand. You would probably have to spend more. You could go to subaru and lease one. 199 month for impreza and I think legacy too. With no money down. 225 for a wrx i think. I know there are some small dealerships in moorhead that has a few outbacks in the 4k range.

Why would you be trying to look at Fargostreet? Have you hit bottom that hard? Perhaps you should be trying to look into a rusty coathanger, rope, and razor blades and just end your life now.

Have you looked at craigslist?Yeah. I kind of have an idea of where prices should be. I'm mainly asking if there's any known issues with those model cars in that year range (tips for what I should look at if I'm inspecting a car), and if anyone has any suggestions on other cars I could look at too, since I'm unfamiliar with this market. Or if one car is better than the alternatives, and why.

The automatic transmissions in Accords (especially the 94-97s and 98-02s) have been a week spot in both the I4s and V6s so stay far away from them. The 5 speeds are very strong though.Good to know, thanks.

Before I bought the Nissan, I was lookin at Weekley's Auto/Rebuildables. I came across a 98 Camry, black, 98,000miles, 4door, lleather interior, moonroof, cd player, tint. I took it for a drive. Runs good n drives smooth. He wants $900 cuz it's been sitting there for a month or so. All that's wrong with it is the passenger side headlight needs to be replaced cuz its smashed. But toher than that, it's a great car.
