sorry to get back on topic lol, but I just saw a thing SPEED at el mirage and they got one to go 170 mph, it had a 5.7 and stated 425 hp. Just thought i'd add that.

I had an idea like that once. It was a "Jump To Conclusions" mat.

wow... pretty sure i've been in a certain members 4cyl (dont remember the exact size but started as a 2.4) at close to those speeds... and in hondas that produce that hp...

      Current Cars:
08 Honda Ruckus - Stunt Machine
      93 Subaru Impreza L - DD/ Winter beater
90 Honda CRX - Project car
      90 Honda CRX Dx - Burnt (R.I.P.) - Racecar

      Past Cars: 85 Chevy C-10, 87 Dodge D-50, 91 Honda Prelude Si, 91 Buick Regal, 91 Acura Integra Ls, 87 Mazda RX-7, 90 Honda Civic Si, 91 Honda Civic Si, 89 Chevy S-10, 91 Honda Crx Hf, 91 Acura Integra Rs, 95 Subaru Impreza L, 92 Acura Integra GSR, 89 Mazda RX-7 (LT1), 88 Mazda RX-7, 92 Civic Cx, 87 Mazda RX-7 TII

thats nothing. I have a 3406B cat that has the same hp stock, and will do those speeds with some extreme gear ratio changing and maybe a double OD tranny. haha. But that wasnt my point with the OG post.

I think 170 is pretty fast for an out of the box production american car. And the same with 425 horse.

although you pretty much wont ever find me chasing a new anything unless its GM.

yep, you are right. Almost 1% of the makes and models produced in america are capable of what the challenger is. 1%, thats pretty much everything, right? Challenger? bah....sigh....awfully pedestrian in its accomplishments.

Gotta say I'm not that impressed with the new Challenger. I like the car, especially the aesthetic, but it kinda feels like it should have been built 4 years ago.

4 years ago they shouldn't have raped the name "Charger" and done that shit right.

+1 its a good car, but Intrepid would have fit just fine.

and it refers to it as a sports car. Cars with a rear seat are considered a sports car?
