The Cobra will slowly go back to stock when time permits. I'll let the wife drive it around if she wants. Back into the 13's for that car. Unless I build a screamer stroked 302 for it.

I am sure they still have a few tricks up their sleeves yet too. I'll have the excuse of drag radials and stock suspension if I cannot catch up.

The class it was in was minimum 3000 lbs. That was a 302 with blower though.

I'll see what is in the car. If I remeber correctly I think he pulled it. Probably would have been for a glide anyways. I let you know, I will be picking it up tomorrow couple hours south of St. Cloud.

yeah, getting a car with a reasonable race weight is going to be a huge step up.

Bill was that a renegade car? I say just take the turbos off the black car and put a 460 with a 106mm in the orange car! That motor has to be in need or a check/refresh anyway by now dont you think?

There's another $20,000+. Just going to put new rings, valve springs and some better rods in it, we'll see how it sounds spinning it to 8,000 rpm's

Why not. I did it with the cobra all the time. Well somtimes I pulled the chute off.

PS. I can detune to about 750-800 for the street.

lawl at 750 hp being "detuned". Keep the parachute for added effect.

So the questions now is, wheres the original number matching engine for the vert?

So the questions now is, wheres the original number matching engine for the vert?

Thinking about it 750-800 might be a tad too much for a lighter car. I can always put smaller wastegate springs in it. The AMS-1000 doesn't care about spring size. It adds boost until your set value is met regardless of spring size.

I still have the motor. Just needs some pistons. It's a Ford, checking Ford part markings to insure that the parts are original is not possible. GM used matching serial numbers. The Ford only uses casting numbers with dates. At least that is what I am led to believe.
