Project FD: Took way too long

oh, sorry. yeah, I have been talking to this guy in Green Bay who has been racing rotarys for 20+ years. He just took apart his 500hp setup he has been running for the last 4 years with 16k mi on it. there was nothing wrong, he was just curious to see what it looked like. He said that it looked just as good as when he put it together. Everything was with in spec.
I have very little knowledge about AI , but if it worked for him i figured i would give it a try. If you have any pointers zbrown, please advise.

Yeah there is so much good info on the AI section of rx7club it is crazy, that is the only reason i go there now. haha
what system are you using?
The only thing that sucks about spraying a ton of meth is the effect on your main fueling, since you have to pull so much fuel out. and if something happens to the AI you are SOL with an engine that doesn't like hiccups.
I had mine setup to where the standalone progressively controlled the duty cycle of the AI pump with PWM (AI had its own rpm/load map)..... so there wasn't 2 separate systems.... better, more consistent, and reliable IMO
I like meth, but am a fan of water too
I would run E85 with some, not a ton, of meth/water on the top..... and IMO have as reliable rotary setup as you are going to have

That is a very nice looking car, glad to see you got the roof straight
And i ran straight meth for a looooong time too, actually over 100 gal of it over a couple years, works great. BUT, i had a block with 2 broken pistons from when the pump quit one day. Go straight E85 and you would be far, far, far ahead man

that roof took me a solid 10 hours to get the dents out, bondo, and sand. Unless it is very minor, I will never do body work ever again, i hate it with a passion.

Btw, Who did your rebuild, and what turbo are you running now?
3mm Apex seals? -
Well after trying to rebuild it myself and losing compression everytime i sent it to a WI to a guy by the name of Howard Coleman. He put a pretty agressive port on top of the one I already had. And no, I am running 2mm. And I am running an ATP To4z turbo. thanks for the compliment.

Pressure switch could have been used to detect loss of pressure and shut down fuel/ignition to keep that from happining. I think the chance of those pumps failing are the same as a fuel pump failing. it happens. but not enough for me to be affraid to use it.
