ok, my take, I avoid rice comments but here goes. I can get carbon fiber for my car, an many of the same parts as you guys. However, if I have it, you won't see it. You'll have to ask or I'll tell ya. "IN MY OPINION" (see that with the quotes?) If you insist on showing it off, it's kind ricey. However, if you hide it that shows stealth and not that it's just about the looks. Because for a lot of guys, it is about the looks. Yes I also have heard that it is tough to paint, but I'd still do it. Big pointless spoilers? rice. Look at nascar, they are faster than damn near all of us, all they have is a duckbill spoiler. also explain why a big spoiler on the back of a front wheel drive, I understand that the ass has to stay planted too, but you do lose traction due to too much weight transfer. A body kit that looks like it belongs on a jet fighter? rice. Especially if it is made out of fiberglass, the physics show that you have to go twice as fast per weight ratio than the typical stock one to make it effective. (something like that, motor trend is not in my hands right now). Rice = pointless or showy, even domestics can be rice. I know I saw a pic on here of a 6banger mustang cobra wannabe with 6 diff colors of blue, Young kid when I saw him, I revved at him, asked him what his sounds like, and he turned up the stereo. my 1.5 cents. Nice to vent.

The wing may not be fully necessary, I think it could be scaled down a bit, it is for "rally" looks. In a rally car, it is helpfull. But hey at least you didn't adopt the spoiler with a bunch of vertical slats in it. Not anything for show, my Flames are clearly for "show", I said that in my intro. My exhaust at 1 1/2 inches is "show" and so is the cackle of my glasspacks when I really rev it. I gave very specific examples of showy things that are ricey. also "it's kind ricey" should have been "it's kinda ricey" Everybody see KINDA? there are exceptions, rice know who they are. My 2 cents has been input. Oh yeah, Exhaust that is on a slow ass car that drives by my apartment, sound like a pissed off bumblebee, and wakes me up is definitely rice.
P.S. Wanna race it'll be the easiest $50 you'd make. I never said I was fast. Read intro if any questions to what I have.

its cool. i dont really care. lol some of us just like the adnormally large spoiler. but i know what ur talkin about. the double deck wing for FWD cars that dont have much HP.

and some of us like classic looks, it's the dickheads that screw it up for all of us, ergo people that jump all over my shit. I like to know what I'm talking about which is why I post in lengthy segments that are very specific

Hell if they made some nice looking CF hoods and spoilers for my fox body that werent a billon dollars i might pick one up. CF is not just for show all the time either CF=light material compared to the factory steel. So technically you could almost call it a performance mod.

why do people care if its rice or not? i just as much as everyone else joke around and call out ricer, but to each their own. if they want to rice a vehicle out for god sake let them. everyone likes different things. not everyone is into going fast and not everyone can afford top of the line equipment.

I dont care if someone calls another thing rice.....I hate stereotypes, when someone calls a whole group...."the whole import scene is rice", pisses me off.

Heres my opinions.
Some people like show, and some like go. Personally I like the show more than the go. Why? because i dont have the tools, time, or knowledge to be installing megasquirt, lsd tranny, ect...
I only have a few mods that are perfomance, I have pretty much everything done aesthetic. CF hood, Bodykit, rims, interior, Bixenon projector headlights, ect.... (i did remove and fill the spoiler holes)
If that make me rice then whatever. Check my sig.

It doesn't matter what type of bodykit/wing, if the car looks clean= not rice. For instance, Trevor's orange cavalier, eventhough it was a cavy, it looked very clean and nice. A maroon Breeze with grey bodykit held up by bungy rope, and a LC plate that says ALLSHOW= major rice.

I like a little raw fish with my rice, and just a little bit of wasabi. Friggn love that stuff.
I also need a little bit of show with the go. Try and keep it clean and keep the mods intune with the spirit of the car. -
as long as it looks good, its alright in my book. its people who take a shitty beat up car and put the biggest wing they can find on it to make it look 'cool' that piss me off. especially when theyre also weaving through traffic at twice the speed limit.

Mabye it's just me but seeing *anything from Walmart/Autowhatever on a car just makes it look cheap, and I think down on the person.
*Anything ( Shift Knob, Seat cover, shitty stickers, LED's, hub caps, junk )
